It's my dream role. I really hope I get to play her for a full production some day. Ive sung this and a few of her other songs for concerts, but that is it.
what i find very impressive in this is the way you battle your nerves, i found it very hard singing this infront of my high school coz for some reason everyone in the audience found it very funny at the part where i sang the very high "ah ah ah"s half way through! very sweet voice, i love it! well done!
Thats funny! You did a great job so I dont know why they would laugh, maybe you were just so cute that it made them happy? You didnt seem nervous at all!

Thanks! I concider you so very lucky! I was a "daughter" in the operetta a few years before this and loved it so much that its now my dream to play Mabel. She is also my favorite G&S character. =) Hopefully one of these days my local theatre will put it on.
Oh you should join the Gilbert and Sullivan Society. My Grandparents wanted to join, but they were turned down because the society didn't want anyone older than 70. Anyway, you should research where the nearest G&S society is to you. I want to join, but I'm too busy. *tear*
You did pretty good! I just got cast as Mabel in a community theatre production.
