The first time i heard this song, it totally fucked my morning and day up. I had never heard of Beth Hart but she appeared on a morning show i just happened to watch that day. It was just her and a piano, but i couldn't even gather my self and get out the door after hearing Leave the light on.

The lyrics are so amazing and strong. But coupled with her delievery it just throws you to the floor. For anyone how has ever hurt in that way, for those reasons, it simply takes your breath away.

She has one of the very few voices around that can belt out a powerful rock song and then turn around and lay down a beautiful ballad, note-perfect, with the same power. She is seriously the most talented voice in music today, no exaggeration.

I am blown away that she isn't everywhere on every radio station, since she can sing rock, blues, country, and pop, all better than almost any artist in any of those genres. Oh well, at least that means I can see her up close at small venues :)
