  • A new version of Lao Tzu's The Tao Te Ching is available as a free app for iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch at AppStore. Search for "TaoOfWisdom" and you'll find "TaoOfWisdom - Lao Tzu's The Tao Te Ching

This work concentrates not on the words but in the meaning; the message, what is being relayed, behind the words. It does so, sometimes with subtlety, sometimes bluntly, but always as poetry, as the Tao Te Ching is poetry, a poem about the 'Tao' or 'The Way.' The Way that is beneath all existence."

  • My bit of wisdom for Taoists - Taoism helps you stay serene and happy in all circumstances. BUT, it does not mean you have to stop wanting things passionately. This is what Buddhism would suggest. Rather, Taoists GET WHAT THEY WANT with less effort and less anxiety. The serenity leaves you with extra mental energy that feels more creative in nature. I like to use both Taoism and Objectivism together. Objectivism to decide what is ethical. Taoism to keep expectations realistic and effort focused

  • The Tao can be spoken is not tao

  • @skullhoof you are right it is tao chicken

  • Dr. Dyer, what you say is so worth while as you say for our daily lives.

I know most people do not like the jobs they have and this is a practical way to enjoy their own careers as this is the biggest part of their day. I teach school so constantly remind myself of the great opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. Thanks for reaffirming my beliefs.

  • Powerful

  • We are big fans of Hay House and Dr Dyer at Holisticards. Please check out the really cool animation on our channel........bridging science and spirituality.

  • Very informative video and i'm really happy to have watched it. Great work. Thanks for sharing. Here's a great list of Wayne Dyer's videos wholisticuniverse-dot-com/html/wayne_dyer_videos.htm

  • If only this con artist and snake oil salesman even had half a clue about the Tao.

  • just audibloaded the book

  • Thank you Wayne for this book. I'm still listening to it. And helped to make great decisions in my life. I feel a lot more comfortable now. I now remember who I am.

  • you will never stop reading this book...you can pick chaptures witch fit the moment and it will help you see clear...be calm... helps you get the right prospective about life and shows you the real world we life in and how we are really need to life!!!

  • I woke up this morning feeling fantastic. Then I remembered that yesterday I was supposed to have this thing called "depression." I now understand the power that thoughts have. (and noooo I'm not advocating any of that "Secret" bullshit that Oprah advertised)

  • "Take the perspective of Not-Being (Yo), you will see the secret essence"

In other words, take the perspective of Nature to see Reality. Take the Not-Human perspective to see Truth. Take BOTH perspectives to live your life (Not-Human Nature and Human).

Emptiness is not empty! Emptiness is full of all potential "materials" for everything. Emptiness means UNBURDEN yourself from the limitations of words and dualistic thinking.

The Tao is the Life-Giving Force of the Universe that cant be "worded".

  • A better translation:

The Dao (Way) that can be Dao'ed (spoken) is not the constant Dao.

The name that be named is not the constant name.

Not-Being (Wu), the name for the origin of the Heaven and Earth.

Being (You), the name for the mother of the 10,000 creatures (everything).

Take the perspective of Not-Being (Wu), you will see the secret essence.

Take the perspective of Being (You), you will see outcomes (manifestations).

These two things are of the same mode,

    but are different names.

  • great words... great wisdom...

  • This is all so true. I spent 5 years reading the tao-te-ching and never understanding it. It took me a thousands of pages of diaries and I was compiling my own 'tao te ching' philosophy. I came back to read the tao te ching and realised all my conclusions from a cycle of personal investigation and questioning of everything within me and externally, were already in the tao te ching. After a really rough patch in my life, I read the tao te ching and realised how true it was.

  • One can see the change in Dyer's manner, from the embellished personality selling self-help to a simpler unembellished self. Some of the earlier works and talks were more like pronoucements, As he is getting older I think he is getting wiser. He has descended from the elevated platform and is living on terra firma with the rest of us. I think contemplating the ideas in the Tao Te Ching encourages one to simplify and get down to one's own basics.

  • he said god ...

  • @sniperboy102 and what did you choose to derive from that meaning? did it ever occur to you he is choosing that word instead of 'space itself'? ;) there is no God... any rational minded human would know that

  • Mr. Dyer, I want to tell you that your books, abundances of wisdom and useful information help me very much since 30 years ago.

    robertocirotrm

  • How old is the bible?.... Oh, wait! "but the bible was changed by men throughout the ages!"....the devil is a fork toung liar.

  • Find peace and you won't worry about all the comments for this video.

  • The Tao Te Ching never says "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"......it says, "The journey of a thousand miles begins underneath ones feet.". This is one of the greatest errors, and I'm surprised Dr. Wayne Dyer, a stolid proponent of the Tao and its teachings, would make such a grand error. Soon enough I'd like to teach the wisdom of the Tao in its fullest, but before that, I must insure that I'm well studied and suitable for questioning from all parties.

  • hmmmmp

  • Thank you Dr. Dyer. Great book. The Tao has changed my life!

  • Is it mean or does he remind you of a bald version of Leslie Nielsen.

  • Listen to the audio book for this book, its so awesome

  • thank you

  • One thing i dont like about youtube, is the need that people have to voice their opinions, its a shame that a teaching video can cause controversy and not love.

  • @joinery11 Because Wayne's brand of love is no love at all. He sounds real spiritual but by his words he denies the One who can give you life, Jesus Christ.

  • @joseph82069 AMEN!!!!

  • @joseph82069 It would be better if there actually was a Jesus. I will have to get my love from me.

  • @joinery11 I know what you mean, man.

I guess deaf/blind christians just annoy me as they can be very belligerent & I guess I just reflect that.

Still, maybe I shud listen more to Dyer's teachings about unity conciousness & the idea that we're all one...

  • @joinery11 Indeed I agree with you. That shows you the mecanisms of other individual's Ego! Love is all! Dr Wayne Dyer is a Great Spirit! Lots of love to him.

  • @joinery11

I agree. Thanks for your opinion.

  • Incidentally I really love this video - so calm & peaceful.

I have this book on Audio CD & I always get a real spiritual high from listening to it. He may believe in God, but it's a God for the broad-minded & his teaching is sufficiently wonderful without it.

  • I was & still am an Atheist, but I'm so grateful to Dr Dyer for writing this book - it is richly profound & has transformed my life from Basil Fawlty to more like Fonzie off Happy Days!

I wish I could persuade more people to read/listen to this book & take up Taoism as it is the most incredible belief system I've ever experienced...

  • @tdp1909 he is does not believe in religion but he is still not an atheist.

  • @TheHoffmanHouse True - "a Christ-follower but not a Christian, a Buddha-follower but not a Buddhist". A wise man...

  • @tdp1909 A Christ-follower is a Christian.

  • @joseph82069 Hmn - I'd distinguish the two since I'm a Christ-follower but don't believe in God.

  • @tdp1909 Impossible. Christ claimed and proved to be God. He also prayed to the Father and talked of God many many times. I know this will sound rude but not intended, the christ you follow is imaginary, made up, it is not the Christ of the scripture.

  • @joseph82069 I thought nothing is impossible with God..? (Luke 1:37)

I'm aware of Christ's claims/ teachings & was even a local preacher 2 yrs ago. However, I take the Jeffersonian perspective where his teachings are retained & the mythological elements are removed.

I know Jesus spoke of Heaven, Hell & God, but I find his teachings are not only better taken without it but are more wholesome & cliche-free without ten-a-penny prophecies of doom...

  • @tdp1909 To that I would say repent of this sin, turn to the true Christ of scripture. The jesus you describe is no jesus at all. There is no pick and choose with Christ, it's all or nothing.

  • @joseph82069 Oh puh-lease - spare me the nonsense. If Jesus & Hell are so real, then why is there sparse to no evidence for either? Isn't it paradoxical to demand so much & deliver so little?

As mentioned before, those parts are mythological & there are some who think that Jesus was the invention of 4 gospel writers. I'm not one, but if the evidence is that lame, then is it not sensible to follow his wisdom but not his ludicrous supernatural claims?

  • @tdp1909 Well you can choose whatever you wish. God became man and died to save us from our sin and His judgment, this person is Jesus. He proved who he was, His words affirm the Old Testament and He spoke much of eternal hell. As C.S. Lewis said , He is Lord, liar, or lunatic, but don't make him some good teacher that came to enlighten us.

There is enough in creation to know there is a God and God says this. He is not obligated to prove every claim, but He did send His Son who spoke of hell.

  • @joseph82069 Oh boy - the Trilemma! I always prefer the Quadrilemma - "He is Lord, liar, or lunatic"... or Legend!

Anyways, believe what you wish but u shud know that it is mostly BS & that there is not one sentence in the Bible that could not have been written before 1st Century AD.

And also know this: if Christianity & Islam are the Cavemen of spirituality then Eastern religions are the Spacemen. Taoism, Buddhism & Eastern Mysticism truly show that there are more things in Heaven & Earth...

  • @tdp1909 Your claim about the bible is wrong. Jesus affirmed the Old Test. and He proved who He claimed to be, God incarnate. He is whom you have to deal with. If what He says is true, then you are in trouble.

Christianity is divine accomplishment, all of God, all of His grace all of the sacrifice that Christ did.

All other beliefs and religions are man centered and man's accomplishments. Man tries and fails to make himself a better, when inside he is a wretched sinner with a deceitful heart

  • @tdp1909 Jesus said, "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adultries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man....'. Matthew 15:19-20

An examination of the ten commandments would prove your sinful condition. Whether you dismiss the truth or not, you can't say you have kept the ten commandments, no one has. Man is sinful not good. The bible affirms this and proves this.

There is none righteous, no not one.

  • @joseph82069 I'm bored of this - it's like debating a speak-your-weight machine.

I've heard most of the diatribes of Christianity (including the 10 commandments as the 'key' to evangelism, the Trilemma & that 'my Jesus isn't the Jesus of scripture') & they are ultimately unconvincing & circular.

I also notice that you are ignoring the content of my comments, which must indicate that your beliefs are about as deep as a puddle...

  • @tdp1909 I know you're on a higher plane, in your mind, but if you decide to come off of the ego/ pride cloud and see your true self as God sees you then your ready, but not until then.

Your comments are the usual, nothing new under the sun. But ignoring the Son who is the truth is not a good thing, it has eternal consequences.

  • @joseph82069 I can see your God isn't very inspiring, or u wouldn't sound so much like a broken record!

If you cud only see how impoverished ur view is (from one who has seen both sides - for the 50th time I was a Christian preacher myself), then maybe you would see that wisdom is not believing the preposterous & is instead about embracing the richness & diversity of life, not some Desert scribblings.

You don't have to believe me, but do try on the 'No God' spectacles for yourself 4 an hour...

  • @tdp1909 The truth never gets old, in fact it's eternal. To those that reject it it will seem as you say, to your shame. Once again, you were never a Christian. If you were you still would be.

    Life is but a vapor.

I don't believe you, you are fallible, I do believe the God that made me and the word He has given us.

  • @joseph82069 Predictable response- the "You were never a [true] Christian" gambit (incidentally there is a good video by Fighting Atheist on this).

The fact is you reject it because it doesn't fit your Christian beliefs, not because its not true. In the words of Sherlock Holmes, you are twisting the facts to fit the theory, rather than the theory to fit the facts.

I *was* a Christian & wudn't have been a Preacher otherwise. But try on the 'No God' specs 4 yourself 4 just 5 mins & u will see...

  • @tdp1909 It doesn't fit in Gods word ,that is where your claim must go through, and it says you were never saved. Doesn't matter if you were a preacher, there are many now who are preaching that aren't Christians.

So what I, you ,think is irrelevant, what does God say. Jesus said to the Father, "Your word is truth"

  • @joseph82069 Incidentally, have you ever read Hebrews 6:3-6? If you had u'd realise that there is no point in evangelising me...

I guess as u take God's word as truth (cos the Bible says so - circular reasoning) then you won't see the real truth. I have witnesses to testify that I was a Christian, but they are unnecessary as I *know* I was. Why is it you cannot accept the truth?

And I note that you are clearly to scared to try on the spectacles of atheism. Then again, few are brave enuf :-P

  • @tdp1909 Yes Gods word is truth ,Jesus is the truth. The only one here not excepting the truth is you. Then you lie by trying to tell people you were a Christian, which is impossible. You were a false convert, but never a Christian.

There is nothing to fear, because I know God exists.

  • @joseph82069 "Then you lie by trying to tell people you were a Christian, which is impossible. You were a false convert, but never a Christian."

Say it enough times & it might even be true! :-p Personally I've chopped the word "impossible" out of my dictionary (as per Wayne Dyer's) instructions since it is a meaningless word.

Indeed there is nothing to fear (from specs), so Y don't you try it?

  • @tdp1909 I'll say it as much as I need to. According to God, you are a false convert and were never a Christian.

Doesn't matter what you've chopped, impossible is still a word and it describes you saying you were a Christian.

  • @joseph82069 Well, we come to an impasse & you still refuse to try the spectacles of Atheism on, clearly because you are too scared to.

It's such a pity the World is filled with people like you who, on the one hand are too scared to look reality in the face &, on the other refuse to listen to any perspective other than the one you were indoctrinated into ever since they were weened.

In the words of Bertrand Russell "Most people would rather die than think: many do"...

  • @joseph82069 Tho u don't believe me, I HAVE been a Christian, a Deist & most other forms of Western belief & I can *hand on heart* tell u that Atheism (mixed with Taoism) is almost certainly the truth.

You, on the other hand, seem to have only been a Christian & you will not sway me with your cliched ramblings.

I'll finish wiv the words of JBS Haldane: "There are more things in Heaven & Earth than are dreamt of *or could be dreamt of* in ANY philosophy".

For the sake of humanity think on that.

  • @tdp1909 At the end of the day it matters not what mere man has to say, but what does God Almighty say. He has given us His word, which clearly teaches you can't be a Christian and then reject it, it's called false conversion, you were never saved.

    How would one get saved?

  • @joseph82069 The people that convinced you there was a god were also fallible, as you say.

  • @joseph82069 What would you say about a philosophy that says you are a piece of crap, unable to solve your own problems or be happy. Would you say it is a healthy philosophy?

  • @tdp1909 I appreciate you separating the mysticism from Christianity - I happen to believe that the mystic origin makes even the ethical pronouncements VERY problematic, like the idea that sacrifice is an inherent good, or that we must turn the other cheek - I find these to be evil ideas.

..haha.. : )

    Tao parle de la source fondamental de tout l´éxistence, une force mysterieuse, incompréhensible pour ceux qui n´y sont pas inserés. {Voir en Bouddhisme; Dharma}

  • I have read one of you books before you never spoke of the Tao But I did fill it in your words i had wondered if you had The Tao in you .

  • No one knew Lao Tsu's name? WRONG. Laozi's given name was Er, his surname was Li (forming Li Er, 李耳) and his courtesy name was Boyang. Dan is a posthumous name given to Lao Tsu, and he is sometimes referred to as Li Dan (李聃)

  • Wayne Dyer talks about "letting go of the ego" when he has the biggest ego I've ever seen. He can't seem to stop talking about the people he's met, the places he's been, the money he's made, and the people who tell him how he changed their lives. The man is a walking definition of irony.

  • @reivenlocke Sharing and giving is not ego. He sharing what he already owns, and feels, and has experienced whether he sais it or not..Thats not ego. Knowledge and sharing goodness and love is far from ego!.. Finding the negative in life or someone is thou ;)

  • His books helped me deal with my depression, after my brother was killed by a drunk driver, much better than any antidepressant pills, or any counselor. I feel he helped me overcome, and find peace.

  • @LoseWeightWithBrandyHespreadsthegoodconsciousnessBy doing this, he helps others understand the bad consciousness. But, we should all have the thoughtfulness, awareness and careful consideration that Dr.Dyer exhibits.I do and it makes a huge difference.I'm still depressed because I haven't figured it all out yet. But, I'm not running for pills or quick fixes.Suffering through this is part of the journey and a very important part.Without this struggle, we don't know what improvement is.

  • @LoseWeightWithBrandy i dont know if you have seen that film American Beauty. It expresses some kind of same meaning about living and death.Im sorry to know that tragety about your brother. but that 's just how the wolrd is going. World doesnt think it is good or bad, comedy or tragety, everything changes, you never know what's next. everything is related to everything else. how beautiful the world is if you see it like this. every tiny part of misery could be your precious life exprience,

  • @zhangzhirou your today's happy experience just can lead to tomorro's bad things. so. stay a quiet and steady mood in heart that everything is just ok, so common. then you may be closer to inside peace to carry more and to get a better life. Good luck, enjoy the beauty and misery of every rest of your day.

  • @LoseWeightWithBrandy I'm inspired. Thank you for posting. Much Love <3<3<3

  • I wonder what Dr. Dyer's comment is on the current plagiarism lawsuit brought against him by Stephen Mitchell? Mitchell spent years studying and interpreting Taoist scriptures, and they are considered unique interpretations and are, thus, original works. How does Dr. Dyer defend this? And considering the difficulty of understanding the Tao, is it not also disingenuous of Dr. Dyer to not apply any intellectual rigor to the topic and just wrap someone else's work in platitudes and glib remarks?

  • @rwalk2730 Consequently, I would put little faith or regard where Mitchell is concerned. First off, this is from the works of Tao Te Ching. If he were alive today I am sure he would not let ego get in the way as Mitchell as. There is truth in these words and ideas and truth is eternal and is not original or belonging to anyone except our creator. It can only be shared or passed down. Mitchell is obviously controlled by ego and subsequent money and recognition as the lawsuit would suggest.

  • @JScott1266 But the ideas are not the issue. The issue is Dr. Dyer literally copied word-for-word Mitchell's book (more than 200 words without variation) without giving him any credit.

    How is that honest?

  • @rwalk2730 Well, I wasn't aware of that. If it was copied that extensively, verbatim, then he should get credit.

  • @JScott1266 It's not that I'm trying to be accusatory, but I'm very curious to hear Dr. Dyer's side of this story. The lawsuit was filed in May of this year, and after the story broke around July I noticed Dr. Dyer stopped writing about the Tao and reverted back to some of his previous topics. It just seemed curious. I would love to hear what his explanation is.

  • THC (Rick Simpson's Cancer Cure Hemp Oil) achieves this wizardry by binding to protein receptors on a cancerous cell's surface. Once attached the THC induces the cell to make a fatty substance called ceramide, which prompts the cell to start devouring itself. "We see programmed cell death" Velasco says. What's more, noncancerous cells don't make ceramide when they come into contact with THC. The healthy cells don't die.

  • The poems of the Tao Te Ching are profoundly inspiring. I like that Dr. Dyer has chosen to read it, meditate on it and share it. I started reading the Tao in 1995, then 2004, and then took on the joyful task of translating it from the Chinese using the Wang Bi and Heshang Gong texts as primary sources. The undertaking has been very rewarding. Its message is universal and harmonious with the Bible, the Gita and so forth. Translations, however, vary widely in quality.

  • The dichotomy of the Tao, the obtuse, paradoxical nature is the same with the bible, which can also be troubling. Like being in love with someone you've been waiting for since the beginning of time, who, after opening your eyes to himself, shuts you out and closes the door on you and chooses someone else. The way of the cross, the way of the tao can be an 'i die hard' to the ego. Love bites. Bitterness of myrrh. The Word Sweet as honey, bitter to the stomach. Twos and fours of Tao.

  • Love you Dr Dyer God is my source Love is my religion Prosperity is my name Giving is my purpose ...Truth is my foundation Success is my family Healing are my words Favor follows me everywhere I go Honesty is my best friend Faith holds it all together I AM what the Word says I AM I have what IT says I have I believe all things are possible through Christ who strengthens me!
  • Thank you Wayne for walking your talk. It was great to have met you again. Blessings, Dr. Michael and K of Connect with Spirit

  • Noggin's Quote: A smile is infectious, start with passing one on in the morning however grumpy you feel, and make a guess by bedtime what part of the world it got to! Pass it on....

  • love god you earth ever thing is the same but not the same you are god and there is now were to go /////watch....why didnt any boby tell me

  • Personally, it is REALLY hard to read the Tao. It feels like it's supposed to be simple but I can't stand simplicity; I need details and clear cut teachings. I find the wisdom of the Tao to be almost mocking; just barely out of understanding and yet close enough to be tasted.

  • "The Tao that can be named is not true Tao."

  • thanks for sharing....

  • I heard Dry. Dyer talking about the Tao Te Ching, here on youtube. The same afternoon, I called the librairie and I got. I simply love that book and the great teaching in it. It's wonderful, everybody should read and apply it - it's simply GREAT. Thanks to you Dr Dyer and Thanks to Hay House Presents. My best reagards, and again my deep thanks.

  • Excuse me but why would anyone think this guy knows anything about the Tao. He's only picking it up now at his age? My God I was reading the Dao De Jing in high school in the late 70s.

His interpretation is so wrong! The verses are some of the deepest and most spiritual writings ever produced and this guy reduces it down to self help status?

Dyer has always put money first among all else. It is only recently, now that he is aging, that he is getting all emotional.

  • @1marcus4 Tao is nothing to be known, only understood. You don't need a book to understand it. Why do you hold on to your convictions. Empty your cup.

  • @jeremyfrancis I think you have it backwards, BUT whatever.

  • @1marcus4 maybe it works both ways...

  • Interesting...this is very close to my own personal philosophy of God, life and nature. I'm gonna check out what Lao Tzu has to say in the Tao Te Ching. I'm very intrigued...

  • TO THOSE WHO LOVE MY COMMENTS, GOD'S PEE!

  • NO, LIES. HIS WIFE LEFT HIM. YOU CAN VERIFY THIS ON THE WEB.

  • can someone help me out with this one PLZ

The vulgar are knowing, luminous; I alone am dull, confused.

The vulgar are clever, self-assured; I alone, depressed.

Patient as the sea, Adrift, seemingly aimless.

  • @serumclx release everything you desire: The clothes on your back, your family, your friends, your vengeance on your enemies... even your own beliefs. Master your self, and everything else, you will see, is already in its place.

  • Creepy stuff. His wife finally had enough and got away...there's video of him abusing his daughter...check it out

  • @rlzzxx

LIER!!!! You should really do something productive with your life instead of go on youtube spreading "lies."

  • @rlzzxx What do you know that makes you hate Wayne Dyer?

  • Awesome! He is just wonderful. I love listening to Wayne. My husband and I are at peace with his words of wisdom. I too feel at peace and the world is at peace when we look at things differently.

  • Funny to watch the sheeple eat up this garbage from a frankenstein. He would be good in horror movies.

  • @rlzzxx

Although your comment is funny, your an idiot and the stuff is very real. At least "the Tao Te Ching."

  • Dr. Dyer: Thank you for the "Do the Tao now" suggestions to help people understand the Tao Te Ching.

I have received some teachings on the Tao and welcome others to view my videos.

    Master Zhi Gang Sha

  • I absolutely LOVED this on Audio CD. Having listened to Dyer's other stuff, I think his transcendentialism blends well with the Tao & the result is genuinely profound...

  • Love it. ... . Tory from Austin Texas. Singer songwriter musician. Check out my originals and subscribe if you like. Please listen to my own original This one was inspired by the Movie What the Bleep do we Know? . Namaste. Member of Howard Caeser's Untiy churchi n Hoston

  • This piece of shyt should be used as toilet paper

  • @rlzzxx excellent...possibly not all that appropriate....you have a wonderful day

  • wow

  • I just love this channel.:))))))

  • LOL, douchebags go on to infamy

  • I find this interesting that someone can say someones beliefs is wrong but there beliefs are right. So the big question is can you prove that there belief is wrong and yours is right? And don't tell me read the bible I have read the bible. Every religion come's back to one place and that's GOD. Everyone has the right and a human to be able to believe in what they choose to believe in. Thank you for your time.

  • "you have the right to your belief, no matter how wrong it may be :)

but let us not argue, let us explore"

    - extract from "Intelligence Plastic Machines", my new book ! :)

    just google it

  • The historical evolution of private property relationship and the consequent emergence of family, class, state as the instituions of power and control to maintain a divided and conflicting social processes . The private gain of a few in a politically manipualted market mechanism where immense humanity are mere wage slaves in essense is the cause of perpetual war, poverty, exploitation, enviornmental destructions, animal cruelty and so forth. we need a society of cooperation for our coomon wellbeing

  • As a Christian this wonderful book has been the next best thing that has come into my life for my spiritual practice! I listen to it every single day on audio. It has given me some really concrete ways to practice peaceful daily living. It has changed me and added so much light to my life. When Christ was born...wise men came from the East....I wonder?! I am SO grateful for Wayne Dyer and for the Tao Te Ching. Thank you...thank you....thank you! Such light in the darkness!

  • @NinetteNickerson As soon as you dont need to clarify your views stating with your religious "label" we can all move forward. As one of the many, I am glad you like what you hear and I hope everyone else can de-label and never draw a wedge between us with Spiritual versions of right or wrong some day. Just like he says, you cant put a name on the Tao it just is.

  • Human beings use "labels." That is why we have used names from the beginning of recorded history. Wayne Dyer's book about the Tao has a "Christian" perspective throughout much of it and I think this is a beautiful thing. Personal choice is the MAIN thing that the teachings of Christ advocates and I support the choice of all human beings to believe as they wish or use labels as they wish. Labels are not what create divisions. Ignorance and intollerance creates divisions among humans.

  • This book Wayne wrote is a wonderful way to develop your daily, spiritual walk. I think it is healthy and good for people to develop their spiritual path in a way that brings them light and love regardless of what you call your path. For me this book helps me daily in a fantastic way. I know it can help you no matter what label you use! It is a non threatening powerful and wise book. Read it. You might like it! I suggest the audio version. Wayne has a kind and soothing reading voice.

  • Joseph you come across as someone who is fearful, trying to convince yourself. I do not see the light of gods love shining in your words, just judgement ,condemnation. What is in your heart?

  • He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

This is the judgment, that the Light(Christ) has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. John 3:18-20

  • @joseph82069 Full of contradiction. U post this Scripture but what is ur objective with that? Aren't U judging? Romans 14. This Scripture is so true. But you don't understand it.

  • No contradiction.

I'm not judging,I'm telling you the truth of the gospel.I'm included when I say all have sinned and when I repeat what Chist Jesus the incarnate Son of God says, you must repent and by faith believe in Him alone for forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

I am allowed to judge truth from error and expose the error, and earnestly contend for the faith. There is nothing more loving than to tell people the truth and point out what they believe is not only false but will send to hell

  • There is no other name under heaven given among men where by you must be saved.

His name is Jesus. The Son of God. The God/Man.The Christ. The Savior. The Redeemer.

The only way to have forgiveness and eternal life.

  • @joseph82069 That is so true . . . IF you believe that. Being in Jesus' name has nothing to do with doctrine - the direct opposite. He isn't the only son of GOD and he definitely is NOT GOD. U contradict yourself. He became the CHRIST & by that the example that he left is makes him Saviour because of what Jesus/Son went thru.

  • love that part about why is the ocean the most powerful force? Because it stays low, it stays humble and allows everything to come to it. Also that part about the spider building its web and allowing things to come to it and not being concerned with what doesn't come its way. Such great analogies!!

  • to open their eyes so that they may turn from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me(Christ).

  • @joseph82069 I agree. But U don't understand that. The key terms there are "To open their eyes..."

  • Wow.. seems like many of you should really read this book.

  • Have you: Lied, stolen(no matter the value), lusted(adultrey in the heart), hated(murder in the heart), taken God's name in vain(blasphemy), made a god to suit yourself, example, a loving God won't send people to hell(that's idolatry).

These are a few of God's commandments, did you break any?

If God judges you by this standard will you be innocent or guilty? Will you go to heaven or hell?

  • get the fuck outta here tyrant. if u wanna go to "heaven" so be it, that's your choice, but quit brainwashing people.

  • Well I'm here to bring the truth of the gospel. Wayne will keep you in darkness and is brainwashing you.

So your hateful words are murder in the heart. You like us all are a sinner at heart.

You stand guilty before a holy and just God.

  • you're insane, go to get some mental help you delusional fuck. stop preaching. if u love jesus so much, u can go and suck his cock in heaven for eternity.

  • btw, don't even think about fucking putting down Taoism, if u do so, ur putting down chinese culture as well, which makes u no better than a racist, you're the one who is a sinner.

  • Really?

It's all false. Christ said He is the only way. He condemns false religions and false beliefs, why? Because they reject Christ and His word. They are all lies.

That does not make one a racist because you say their beliefs are false and damnable. All have sinned...there is none righteous no not one. That's why we all need the Savior.

  • christ was a regular man, who thought he was god. anyways, i never said u were racist, i said it makes u no better than a racist, to see you own biased views as right, and everyone else as wrong. just as a racist white man would see white ppl as the only "true" human

  • You were implying that I was a racist.

My comments have NOTHING to do with race. God doesn't see race and neither do I. We all came from one blood.

Jesus is God. And He said it and confirmed it when He was here on earth.

The word of God confirms all other ways are false. And Christ confirmed it as well.

Your beef is with Christ. He is Lord.

  • Comment removed

  • @joseph82069 Jesus is not GOD. And Christ is not Jesus. Study more. You're talking about 2 entities and a consciousness.

  • SweZiEnt

You have been misinformed. Christ Jesus is the Son of God, God incarnate.

Christ Jesus fulfilled numerous prophecies when He came the first time, and He will fulfill more when He returns.

You should do the study, because what you are saying is false teaching and not found in scripture(bible).

  • @joseph82069 Yes mankind has always tried to prove what is the truth(organised religion) at the sacrifice of peace.

  • @dereklasalle Christ was NOT a regular man. JESUS was a regular man. The two are different.

  • anyways, don't talk shit about Taoism... the end.

  • @dereklasalle You're no better than these Christians. Why would you allow Joseph to take you there?

  • you christians are also distorting and perverting everyone's thinking... tyrants. peace

  • I have read all of Wayne's books and this one is my favorite!

  • I've started reading this book 2 weeks ago and I really like it. I realise that reading and being these writings is not something that I'll be doing in just two weeks of reading, but that's okay because there seems to be a lots of time. For me this book is a good start that tastes like more :-) Thank you Mr. Dyer and Hay House

  • Tao is not about thinking. It's about being. All of Western civilization has built up a house of card of thinking. The Tao free's you to just be. I appreciate Wayne but do not believe he is a qualified Tao teacher.

  • Speaking like someone who hasn't read the book obviously.

  • This book and the way of the Tao changed my life!

  • at the center of your being

    you have the answer

you know who you are and

    you know what you want

    -Lao Tzu

Lao Tzu is one of favorites :-) Thanks for sharing!

    Peace, love, joy and abundance

  • My soul has only just recently begun to open its eyes and truly see the Truth of what God has been trying to tell us all through men like Lao Tsu, and Wayne, and I know that it is the Truth. It resonates deeply within me, it rings with clarity and power, and I believe that they're on the right track. If people could only embrace this in its entirety, rather than being caught up in doubt, fear, and all this negativity, I believe the entire universe would change. I'm so grateful that I heard this.

  • @pjo1993 I agree! Great comment!

  • @pjo1993 the universe will change while saying constant. but remember this: desire is the biggest distraction of the truth. When you experience Tao, or Enlightenment that Tao gives us, it is easy to get caught wishing others to experience Tao. And that wish in itself, good as is it may appear to intend, is still desire. Master yourself to be a slave to nothing--even your own beliefs. And you will then see that the entire universe is already changing.

  • most people live so unconsciously. you see it on the road when you are driving. people's real internal torment tends to come out 'behind the wheel' --:)
