I saw both the Concorde and Vulcan at an Air Show here. The Concorde was loud but the Vulcan take off and demo seemed to sound even louder. Louder than even the Nimrod.
The sound of the engine is so orgasmic, and it's so loud that we can't even hear them at one point. The announcer kinda ruins it by being too loud. Great Video!
Well done Blizzard! Thanks for posting this great video. I saw one of these old beasts in the early 80's at the annual London International Airshow in London, Ontario Canada. Loved it then and love it now.
:) great picture quality, I was down at kemble with the air cadets (you might of seen us out and about) and with my phone with 8mp camera the quality is good but the zoom not so, what camera to you use ? and where were you ? im guessing around the bit where the red arrow plane was stationed :)
Brilliant vid i was at Margate when i saw her it look's like you had a better display at Kemble as at Margate it poured down with rain for half of the display.
Hi, great video, I was there on the day but my video camera battery was flat. I managed to get some stills with my slr, but wondered if you would give your permission to letting me download your video to my pc ?
Thanks Paul - brilliant shots as usual !! And, of course to Martin & Aircrew and Taff and Ground Crew and Dr. P. and all at VTTS Club . Sean's commentary was even improved (didn't think that was possible) over previous seasons'.
With present ill health, don't think I shall get to many displays this year so thanks for the recent 3 passes over XL426 at London Southend Airport.
Please keep donating to keep her in the Sky, for many years to come.
Excellent footage Paul - thanks for sharing it! Have been unlucky this year and not able to see her display in the flesh, so vids like this ease the longing of seeing her skywards again. Thanks again, Mike
Brilliant video - I last saw and HEARD these flying low past my bedroom window (near Bruntingthorpe where they flew from) back in the 1970s! It brought back memories of these wonderful bird-beasts of aircraft. Feeling very proud of them, as I did then, and very patriotic! VulcantotheSky deserves great praise - and FUNDS!!! Well done all!
Oh dear, your poor camera speakers Paul! Sensational display, well captured. Always a pleasure to watch your video's. Can't wait to see her at Waddo this year.
That was a great video, I am a Vulcan supporter, but was unable to get to Kemble on the Saturday, only the Sunday. This has helped make up for that! Cheers
i was there just got back and what a display, everyone text VULCAN to 82055 now! to easily donate 3 pounds, its not alot dont think someone else will do it, act now and preserve this awsome earth shatteringly loud beast that protected your familes from a nuclear disaster for 30 odd years. she deserves it and we all deserve to enjoy her. nuff said. XH558 is as good as it gets.
If everyone who saw her just donated £1 she would be safe and fully funded to keep flying for the rest of her allowed time. it would be worth every single penny!!
great vid!

Great to see her at Kemble yesturday.
But a real shame to see the people parked outside to get a free view and deny local charaties a much needed income.

I think Sean needs to know to pause when the Vulcan takes off. He must know he's talking over the howl!
