Crysis has the better tech but damn, for 99$ USD you can license your mod as a commercial product, you gotta give up 25% of your profits but just distribute with STEAM and you'd probably at least get 40% of your sales. make a AAA title and you're rich.

Well... Maybe Cryengine 2 vs Unreal Engine 3 since they both appeared around the same time and Cryengine 3 is for consoles.

+ from what i saw Cryengine 2 has better graphics then Cryengine 3

Cryengine 3 is also for the PC, and it does look better than Cryengine 2. Better lighting & shadows etc.

When I posted that comment the CryEngine 3 was only for the consoles and the CryEngine 2 had better graphics then. Now since it came out for the PC it dose have better graphics. Plus it uses DirectX 11 features.

I don't understand, CryEngine, Is a GAME ENGINE. It can be used to create games on either the console or PC. It was certianly no different then.

Otho the images you may have seen being rendered on CryEngine 3 from the consoles, But that certianly doesn't mean the engine isn't capable of more.

Look at UT 2.5 and BioShock.

Nope, but in some new footage the draw distance was greatly improved. You could see the trees on the other bank clearly from very far away.
