Regarding the deer cull specifically, which is one of the topics in this video. The decision to cull or not should be calculated science. Emotional decision making is wasteful and more often than not it actually causes harm despite good intentions.
Should a cull be the recommendation of wildlife experts, let me suggest a special archery hunting season which will generate income rather than expense. There is no sense in spending money when money can be made from the same actions.

It's nice to see that with all the serious problems city hall SHOULD be dealing with that the counsellor has time to waste on poking fun at a problem that is an irritant to people in my ward. Better yet Nancy, why don't you set down your computer for a few days and get to work on reducing my municipal taxation which has spiralled completely out of control for the past 10 years in a row. Or how about googling "job creation" as our local unemployment rate is so wonderfully high. You ARE a joke.
I might be a joke, but then again I'm not a city cousellor representing the city of London posting stupid cartoons on the internet. At least we have an idling bylaw that is so ridiculous most will ignore it.. Wonderful work counsellor.
I was unable to edit my spelling mistake- many apologies. I still beleive the video is childish and posting it reflects a lack of professionalism I expect of our city councillors.
Reaching out to the public and creating a more informed populous is NOT a waste of time. Debate and controversy are healthy parts of politics. Insults and emotional decision making are not. Behave yourself.
Hey, that's not the fault of the city. Most of downtown is owned by "foreign interests" and City Hall can do nothing to stop every last theater, store, bar, restaurant and any other memorable old place from being torn down and used to park cars...which have no reason to GO downtown in the first place.
Brilliant! I never agreed with the culls; if there are too many deer, nature will deal with the problem in its own way, just as it's trying to deal with us.
And at last, I finally know what those stupid metal trees are for! I won't feel so inclined to kick them next time..hehe..
Next video, take aim at the unreliability and uselessness of London Transit, why don't you?
I'm always up for a chuckle, but the fact that a city councillor took the time/money to have this cartoon made when much larger issues are pressing is pretty sad.
Why is the traffic system in this city so poor? I was told once that it's very sophisticated but we don't use all the features available. Why is that?
The deer were here first, leave them be and let's deal with bigger issues like traffic, cleanliness, the city's debt and development charges.
Good, yes it brings out the issues... but when it comes down to it and time for the next election, Londoners will forget all the past issues and vote the same people back in.
hilarious...I luv your videos

Well, at least learn how to spell city councillor.
As for ignoring the two-minute idling by-law, why on earth would you want to waste fuel and foster pollution?

I learned decades ago that a little humour on issues of the day goes a long way to enhancing our understanding of them.
Frankly, a humourless world is one I want no part of.

I used to do survey work at Storybook! The peacocks are everywhere and they're really that bold.

The deer are just a vehicle for a few light-hearted jabs. Check 0:14 for a nod to the traffic situation.
