It's the only surviving footage from this concert ('Jeepster' & 'The Groover') and an istrumental jam audio tape is available somewhere, but there are still rumours that a complete concert exists and from the 'Don Kirshner' too. Maybe someone have this rarity in its collection or it's over 38 years in a TV archive?! Who knows ...
@TvRex Wow, weird. I used to live across the street from Don Kirshner here in Santa Monica. Hopefully one day the whole thing will surface! Thanks for the reply!
The obvious edit out of the lines "Girl I'm just a vampire for your love. And I'm gonna suck you" was carried out by the US TV company at the time as the line was too suggestive!! How times have changed.
Elvis would have been proud of Marc's stage clothing in this particular performance. Pseudo - "Sweet Inspirations" definitely seal the deal. Rock On Marc! Great Music never dies...........
@xvxHoneyxvx Bolan was very, very, very much ahead of his time in music, style and performance. This could easily have been a concert only last night in 2011! fans all over the world at all ages keep joining,a great proof right there!
hyacinthlady; Couldn't agree more. I've been playing on stage since '74 & anything post the groover I wouldn't touch. But, now at 53, my daughter says she knows where I got my style from. Yes I'm still rockin' with Bolan in my soul
I LOVE Mr. Feld. However, once he began adding "soul singers" to his music and performances, he stopped producing the clean, clear "T.Rex" sound that I loved so much.
dont overlook what a great guitarest he was he had his own sound and was a great rthym and lead player and he was poorly booked in the us opening for metal band uriah heep who should have opened for deep purple and trex also on bill with tx blues band zz top just bad bookings trex should have played w/ bowie..mott the hoople and more glenn leslie i still love marc bolan guitar hero
This clip is especially helpful to anyone who's thinking about buying the new Marc Bolan Gibson Tribute Les Paul -- here's the real guitar and Marc sure does put it through its paces!
Marc had some guitar lessons from Page, maybe he adapted his wardrobe from him too - or vice versa - who knows! Anyway - Marc was something different from the rest of the pack! Simply beautiful - music and looks vice!
That's the frickin' COOLEST stage clothes I've ever seen a male Rock Star wear. Jesus Christ, talk about the male peacock social identity. That's it in spades right there. That's exactly how I want my Rock Stars to be. All larger than life, getting away with wearing things the rest of us can only dream about having in our wardrobe. This Marc fashion ensemble even beats Page's silver lapeled black velvet coat he wears for "Rock & Roll" in TSRTS. There's just SO much to like about Marc's outfit!
awesome tone on those solos!

I love T-Rex.. This is how I used to dress for elementary school, but I would top it off with a star trek lunch box.
