@DARTDallas I love the songs used in this high-speed run. When the Orange line extends it's schedule, that is going to double the service from Downtown Dallas to at least Love Field.
waits there idle for 20 minutes... AND leaves the station at 9:30, just a few minutes before the second train arrives! So what's the point of waiting if the buses don't pick up two rides at once? Sometimes the wait is over twenty minutes. Just a waste of time all around.
DART does the city of Dallas and its communitie a great service, but the schedules of the bus lines that feed off the Green Line are a nightmare. Before when I used to take the 165 route donwtown I'd be home in less than 30 minutes, now it takes me a little over an hour if I am lucky. Here's what I dislike most about it: If a train arrives at 9:15 PM to the Lake June station the bus is already at the station, waits there idle for 20 minutes...
@ajhfohu Ride the Green Line to Inwood/Love Field Station and then board bus route 39 to ride to the Love Field Airport terminal. Bus route 39 operates seven days a week.
Inwood/Love Field Station is approximately 2 miles southeast of the terminal building.
I take this train from Carrollton to downtown...why does it goes SOOOO SLOW in that little tunnel under Mockingbird? And why does it stop at the DART train thing to switch drivers...it's happened everytime! coincidence or just bad luck for me, they take their time switching!
This is so exciting! Now if they just hurry up w/ the Cotton Belt Rail it would really be convenient for us people that live in Addison and the Galleria area. It's gonna b interesting how they connect it w/ the Downtown Carrolton station since it is suppose to be the transit hub for the green line....DART DALLAS....Is this plan still goin forward...Don't forget about your costumers stuck up here in the middle..we are after all in one of the densest parts of the City.
I throughly enjoyed this ride today. It was crowded but did not hamper anything. If you live in this area I recommend you take the green line when needing to travel to the destinations. I got some footage and pics today. I will have up shortly.
This is a useful video, though it doesn't permit seeing the at-grade crossings or other details between stations. It's just, just barely too quick to freeze frame points between stations.
This Saturday, it's going to be free to ride the green line, correct? I want this to check out my route from Downtown Carrollton to Mockingbird Station.
At Pearl Station in downtown Dallas, you can transfer to a Blue LIne train. Board a train with a DWNTN GARLAND sign to travel to Downtown Garland Station.
I live behind the new Lawnview Station. This is very helpful to see where the route goes. Especially knowing I can get to Fair Park or downtown. I need to find out how to head east if I want to go to Garland and to Rowlett. There must be a train to switch to...?
I ride from Downtown Garland to Downtown Dallas all the time what you do is go to one of the Downtown Dallas Stations (Pearl,St Paul, Akard, West End), then after you get off wait for the blueline train going north; it will say DWNTN Garland on it. From the west end to Downtown Garland is about 40 maybe 45 minute ride at most
As far as Rowlett, currently the train doesnt go to Rowlett, that's part of DART's future plans, but at Downtown Garland station there's a shuttle bus that goes to Rowlett
@0Maurice I know. I realized that when I knew the trains went downtown where you can transfer. Actually Monday I took a dry run from the green to the red and out to Plano because I have not been on that route except opposite to go to the zoo.
Me like. Subscribed today.

I see DART has two types of wipers on selected cars. One set of cars has the bus type of wipers and another set has the automotive style wipers.

Great video, the new stations are so beautiful! Every stop has its own style to it. Wish I could be there on opening day!

@DARTDallas Yeah that looks right. I see now how to transfer. I used to use the train more often when I worked downtown.
