  • Oh. My. God. That belly to back suplex was BRUTAL.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon how come u dont do matches?

  • This might be something a little out the left field... but, with how physically intense Japanese wrestling can be at times, has anyone ever wondered why so few wrestlers have died because of their experiences wrestling in Japan compared to their experiences wrestling in WWE's generally very watered-down matches?

  • The touring schedule helps immensely. In Japan, most, if not all, wrestling promotions tour for three weeks, and then have three weeks off. On top of that, most of the tours consist of tag team matches to build to the bigger matches at the end of the tour.

  • Benoit was a damn good wrestler. I stopped watching WWE when he died.

  • when chris is hitting the wild bomb on black tiger ii was that in best of the super juniors if so which year was it?

  • 1995

  • damn he did the diving headbutt for OVER 10 YEARS!!! what a stupid finishing move, sure it looks cool but it's def not worth the damage your gonna be taking to your head.

  • @R3KZ It depends on how you use the move. Devon Dudley has been using it just as long, and with no ill effects. The Diving Headbutt really wasn't the main cause of Benoit's death.

  • no matter how many times I see it, I can't get enough of that Wild Bomb. has to be the most brutal powerbomb i've ever seen.

  • @krazyzark I agree, I just saw that move for the first time. I love the powerbomb and never knew of this move.

  • We all knew Benoit was a fantastic worker here in the states, but it really seems like you get to see how talented some guys really are when they're off the leash. I've seen some ROH comments, I think that company could really benefit from a guy who can utilize more mat based moves yet still tell a story in the ring, I've noticed that ROH really lacks that sort of element in many of their matches.

  • The wrestler in WWE whom I respected and still respect more than any other. He really defines everything that Ring Of Honor stands for; not gimmicks, not over-the-top storylines, but sheer athletism and skill in the ring. Benoit and Eddie Guerrero were the only professional wrestlers, not sports entertainers, whom I had any respect for, and with their deaths I lost all interest in following WWE.

I only wish that Benoit had been to Ring Of Honor; he was the Code Of Honor made flesh. RIP, Benoit.

  • wow. he looks the splitting double of the dynamite kid in the clips with black tiger.

  • I couldn't take my eyes off Benoit when he wrestled. Everything was so intense, so precise, so pure. I hope there's a place in heaven for a brain damaged man who should not be remembered for the worst thing he ever did.

  • Damn, now I know Benoit can be straight-up brutal in the ring. Although "Wild Pegasus" doesn't seem to fit him.

    RIP Rabid Wolverine

  • Sweet rare moves

  • Where can I find the Black Tiger match you use in this vid... it's not one of the two already on Youtube :(

  • 1995 Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

I grabbed it off of the DVD I have of the event.

  • @iknowme If you can find "Hard Knocks The Chris Benoit Story" It's on there

  • @iknowme My bad. I answered b4 I watched the video. there is one on there though if it means anything

  • was ge doing the torture crab to jericho??

  • "Wild Bomb" is probably the best powerbomb anyone does (did) in my opinion.

  • Is the Torture Crab the same as Jericho's Liontamer in WCW?

  • Indeed.

  • 1:22 That looked sick.

  • His snap suplex was reminiscent of Dynamite Kid's. In fact, their styles were similar except Chris was more aggressive.

  • I always liked Benoit's lariats.

  • Methinks that was where Jericho learned 'the Walls/Liontamer'. Lol. Love the videos on this page.

  • Wow Chris Jericho can sell

  • WTF is that Benoit???

  • @ToxsickDeath didnot u know know before?

  • god bless this man and what he brought to wrestleing thank god we have guys like daniel bryan to carry on his style

  • I still say THAT wild bomb (first one) is the sickest powerbomb I've ever seen.

Also, poor Jericho @ 0:29...NO, NO, NO...arg...ARGH!!! ROFL

  • @Kensei007 no kidding about that Wild Bomb. I'm surprised Eddie Guerrero survived that match! if you freeze frame it at 1:22, right as Benoit gets him on his shoulders, check out how damn ripped Benoit's muscles are there. Dunno what that muscle group is there where the abs and lower pecs meet at the side, but Benoit's are damn insane here! I miss Benoit. he was such a great wrestler, beautifully combining technical skills with sheer brutality without the need of a foreign object.

  • That Wild Bomb is unbelievable.

  • was he the first guy to do the torture crab/lion tamer. was that a stu hart move?

  • what an amazing wrestler. but I never got the point of the diving headbutt, it looks like it'll damage you as much as your opponant and give you a concussion. Why not just use a diving splash you can can get a pin attempt and hit your opponant with more weight without having to bash in your own skull?

  • i wonder if Jericho actually got the liontamer of Chris Benoit :/ Kinda ironic that it was Jericho who he used it on in the clip.

  • I always loved Benoit, but he should have used all of those moves in his later WWE career. He does the tombstone pile driver and top-rope powerbomb in every wrestling video game but didn't do it as much in real life. But I still think he was the most intense and greatest wrestler ever. Even something as simple as selling a punch could be done poetically.

  • 0:26-0:38 beats the lion tamer any day lol

  • Yo Dragon would you agree that Benoit has the best Powerbomb of all time?

  • Oh, he was wild, alright.

  • Didnt he used crosface when he was Pegasus? :/

  • Nope.

  • "Wild Bomb"

    Oh my god

black tiger must have had 200 concussions at once

    oh my god

  • HOLD THE FUCK ON, CHRIS JERICHO LEARNED THE LION TAMER FROM CHRIS BENOIT?

    That's awesome

  • His moveset got watered down in the 2000's by WWE, Benoit worked better with less then most worked with more and he never failed to deliver whether he was in the opening match or main event.

Benoit could easily keep up with Japans best performers!

  • Benoit is the epitome of a true Wrestler. He didn't need gimmicks, promos, storylines, etc. He did all his talking in the ring. Benoit was able to utilize various styles whether its the stiff style of Japan or pure wrestling that matched Dynamite Kid!! There wasn't a thing he couldn't do inside the ring. Benoit could use a technical based style, brawl with his aggressive personality, and his suicide dives and diving headbutts are some of Benoits signature maneuvers.

  • Comment removed

  • Wild Pegasus is basically "Kid Pegasus" unmasked......more famous as Chris Benoit RIP

  • In 0:51, 1:02, 1:20 and 1:45 is that Eddie Guerrero as Black Tiger?

  • Yep.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon of course sir!!

  • loved the wild bomb

  • Poor Jericho... being caught on the receiving end of his finisher. ASK HIM REF!!!!!!!!

  • One of my favorite wrestler one thing I found neat was how much more agile and versatile he was when he was younger.

  • The Avalanche Wild Bomb kind of looks gutwrench style. Probably unintentional, but just goes to show the tremendous versatility he had as an in ring performer

  • i think it was the camera angle that made it look like a gutwrench. But the regular wild bomb was just brutal

  • I enjoy the fact that Jushin Liger helped put over both Benoit and "Black Tiger II" Eddie Guerrero when they were younger.

  • That's Benoit, dude.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon

I know I am a bad troll I am sorry

  • @bero69 Fail..

  • @bero69 epic fail for you

  • Gee I wonder why?

  • @bero69 Wow your a dumbass.

  • @bero69

    lol wow

  • @bero69 ha ha ha no way is that a real comment- 1/its benoit and 2 /alot of beoits moves where first used by benoits hero dynamite kid tom billington

  • @bero69 lets get it straight this is benoit, and HES a copycat of dynamite kid

  • chris benoyt

  • RIP Chris, i was lucky enough to witness matches of one of the most gifted technical wrestlers ever

    The Pegasus Winged Wolverine

  • Wild Pegasus will always be known as greatest Technican of all time.Hes arguably one of the best ever. The Diving Headbutts was probally one of the Reasons, why Benoit had a Brain of a 85 old.He done that Move in the most of his Matches,no wonder....

  • that powerbomb.....ouch

  • Its his Ringpsychology that makes him great. His In-Ring Skills were just great..Chris Benoit was Pound for Pound one of the Best Technical Wrestler of all time,if not the Best...

  • genial

  • That Wild Bomb is soooo gangsta!!! lol.

  • hey is that jericho in the torture crab?

  • Indeed.

  • That's why it's called a Torture Crab! RIP Pegasus!

  • Wish he'd kept using that crab. It looked sick. And that tombstone piledriver was just insane levels of dangerous.

  • and I thought the one I saw in a Women's Tag Team match in Japan was dangerous...

  • R.I.P Benoit Family the greatest wrestler of all time

  • My favourite video of yours SD.

Benoit rules, BTW is that Eddie Guerrero with the Black Mask?

  • That's Eddie as Black Tiger II, yes.

  • Wow, very different look from American attire.

  • Indeed. Almost a different wrestler altogether, as he used a lot of moves that he wouldn't use much, if at all, in the U.S.

  • Well thats cause WWE wouldnt let him do those kind of moves. They always think it is "too dangerous".

  • Benoit was an amazing wrestler, hell still is in my mind. and yes that is true, but he did break sabu's neck...so maybe on some elvel they were right to restrict some of his moves not as much as they did but still

  • and after those alleged xrays of his brain appeared its no surprise why WWE banned more dangerous moves of some really talented wrestlers...

  • The two avalanche moves are really sick! Great video!

  • is that jericho match from the juniors cup 94?

  • 95, actually.

  • was the top-rope tombstone the finish?

  • A version of it.

  • it was a little botched i think right? im fuzzy on that match

  • Yeah, it turned into more of an Avalanche Powerslam.

  • yes now i remember..thanks for the video btw keep it up!

  • As I said the lastime this was posteed. Regardless of the events that went down I'll still respect what Benoit did IN the ring & for his locker room attitude.

    RIP & Thank you Chris

    RIP Daniel & Nancy.

  • no matter what, Benoit will always be a Pegasus.

  • R.I.P Benoit it really is sad that he's gone.

  • god we are never gonna have a wrestler like benoit

RIP one of the best of all time

  • Wish he stayed in New Japan instead of wrestling with the WWE.

I was always hoping he would decide to ditch the cartoon character land and come back and finish his career in New Japan.

  • 1:42 is ridiculous

  • sickest powerbomb EVER. I loved his time in the NJPW Light Heavyweights. Don't remember the Torture Crab though. I first saw it as Jericho's Liontamer, but I've loved it enought to use it myself as a Texas Cloverleaf instead of a Boston Crab.

  • Hiroshi Tanahashi has used a Torture Cloverleaf in the past.

  • cool. do you happen to have any clips?

  • I don't, no. However, I believe he used it in a match against Hirooki Goto from November of 2007.

  • cool, man. Thanks for the tip. Glad I found your new account. I was so disappointed when your old one got suspended.

  • Chris Benoit was the Wild Pegasus

  • awesome footage. flawless video. Every displays what kind of wrestler he was. Hard hitting smash mouth

  • undeniably one of the best ever

  • unreal... best wrestler ever.

  • WIld Pegasus, his moveset was great, and he will be missed.

  • best powerbomb ever done...

  • I gotta say you were SPOT ON with Benoit during his Pegasus years, so glad you remember the avalanche Tombstone man that was SICK! And the Wild bomb, was one of the if not THE best powerbomb in the game! Kudos, did much better with benoit than u did with malenko, you missed alot of Dean';s trademarks like his calf kick, gutbuster from his shoulders, the jackhammer he INVENTED, and the brainbuster which usually setup his cloverleaf 90% of the time.

  • Again, man, the footage wasn't exactly in great numbers with Malenko.

  • Besides, Malenko did not invent the jackhammer. Jaguar Yokota did.

  • Yes it is.

  • it is a belly to back suplex

  • Wouldn't be moraappropriate to call it a backdrop?

  • you can die from a broken neck fool. even after the break you could still damage your spine.

  • Chris was the best technician of all time with Malenko, their generation with Eddie, Jericho, Malenko and Benoit is the best generation of all time.

I will always remember Benoit for what he was, an awesome wrestler, now, the rest doesn't matter to me.

RIP to him and his family.

  • theres a black tiger/eddie video

    why isnt this labled pegasus/benoit

i mean everyone knows who he is already. do you get more hate mail if you included his name in the title?

  • theres worse?

  • Nothing worse than the broken neck, no, but some devastating injuries nonetheless.

  • Why oh why do the Japanese do these things? They perform stiff as hell and are willing to take careering ending moves/bumps, why? Thats th only reason I dom't really watch Japanese stuff

I love your vids by the way, been a fan for years

  • It's a passion for wrestling, simply. Oddly enough, the in-ring injury total is almost consistently lower than in the U.S.

  • Well, you learn somethinmg new every day :L

  • its cuz they have secret ninja wrestling techniques, known only to a chosen few, descended form the great wrestlings clans of inoki, baba, hashimoto, and tsuruta. mwahahahahaha

  • in a match id consider a broken leg (sid) worse than a broken neck based on certain conditions

some wrestlers have gone on to finish the match with a broken neck... although you get a broken leg and the match is over

    it all evens out

  • They also get a lot longer breaks between tours, gives them time to rest up small injuries that could get worse.

  • In a match maybe, but ask any wrestler if they'd rather have a broken neck or a broken leg and I guarentee that they'll take the leg.

  • youre right when you said "in a match maybe"

  • The rest is right to. You'd have to be insane to want a broken neck over a broken leg, it' s almost a no brainer. Maybe if your a fan then you'd rather see a broken neck, but trust me NO wrestler would take a broken neck over a broken leg.

  • How dangerous is the avalanche tombstone piledriver?

  • It broke Akira Hokuto's neck back in 1989. She still finished the match, but the neck was indeed broken.

  • Ouch, poor guy

  • She did finish the match, even taking another Piledriver. She would go on to wrestle for over ten years after the incident, so she wasn't permanently hurt or anything.

  • It was a woman??? OMG why would she be willing to take that?

  • She's just that way. It wasn't the last time she battled through an excruciating injury.

  • Dude theres crazy womans wreslting matches. I've seen lots of girls take insane bumps.

  • girl

  • watching pegasus vs black tiger gives me goosebumps and reminds me so much what is lacking in wrestling today

  • wild bomb awsome powerbomb

  • The wild bomb and the torture crab are sick... but the avalanches are f-ing brutal!!

  • he did'nt use the crossface and the sasorigatame(sharpshooter) till his WWE days right?

  • Correct.

  • Sharpshooter wasn't until he got to the E

Crossface, I believe he started using it around 1997

  • He used a "Sharpshooter" years befire he signed with the E.

He was doing it as early as the Super J Cup in 94.

  • he used the crossface wcw and he used the sharpshooter since his japan days

  • He can't get WCW Clips, WWE bought WCW and all of its videos

  • I know, I was just posting this for LJVC91

  • if there is a better powerbomb in the world then the wild bomb i aint seen it

  • My favourite wrestler of all time...great technique..one of the best...I miss Chris

    R.I.P.

  • Man , he was awesome.

  • wow, every time i see the wild bomb, i keep getting the image in my head that pegasus is screaming fuck you as hes slamming them down like a bitch....with that said, its always good seeing jericho put in his own torture crab/lion tamer/walls of jericho

  • amazing wrestler..very talented. Great top ten dragon.

  • RIP Wild Pegasus. OK, i'm gonna say this, the way he died wasn't honorable, but his career sure was. Why won't WWE honor his acheivements?

  • ...because he killed his wife, son and himself. WWE is all about the mainstream right now, going about mentioning his past will just bring about how his life ended. I figure.

  • Such a shame how he died. He had an amazing career and he deserved to be in the HoF. Sadly I must agree that he died dishonorably.

  • Did I just hear the announcer call out his real name at 1:02?

  • wild bomb is the best move ever

  • Is that a young Chris Jericho in the Torture Crab?

  • Indeed.

  • yes, he is

  • that belly to back suplex was stiff, as the snap suplex and the wild bomb

  • D-D-D-DAYUMN!!! that wild bomb was sick. Batista aint got shit on that one lol. R.I.P.

  • Good lord, thats a mighty fine top ten. That wildbomb is sick, but so is everything else!

  • Wild Bomb: a thing of dangerous beauty.

  • I wonder if Lionheart got the idea to use the Liontamer or Walls Of Jericho from Pegasus, seeing the Torture Crab.

  • Wild Pegasus was a rare breed. As technically sound as he was physically intense. I'm still a fan, even now.
