It says on his IMDB biog that he was born in 1964 but I would have thought he would have to be at least nine or ten to play that part. However, actors are known to lie about their age. Reading a book about Kes ...they got caned for real...at first they didnt know they were going to be caned for real then after the first take they settled on £ 3 per caning...that young lad is so bitter about it now!
The film is called "Kes" and is a must see. Strangely enough, they're screening it at Ludlow soon. Might see it again even though I saw it 1st time around in 1969 or something. I was really young then ;)
The music was the main point - and also 'cos it's a song about school life! Why overdub ANY film? It's done all the time! I just happen to like the film, and although it's my friend's song, I chose to use a scene from KES just'cos I WANTED to..... No other reason

Brian Glover is the bully-games teacher, brilliant scene. Most of the cast were non professional actors. Gives it that gritty true to life quality.
