@bartektual White gave up after 35...fxe3, the black passed pawn can't be stopped in a good manner. Anand lead 3.5 : 1.5 after the game and after Anand's win in the following game 6 Kramnik only avoided a disaster by winning game 10, losing the match 6.5 : 4.5 in the end.
There are 10^113 possible possitons available on a chessboard whic is a number beyond comprehension.Thats the reason why you wont see a game repeating and u still enjoy every game you watch and play..
very interesting analysis about the game. You must realize that the shampionship is over very recently and even great masters make mistakes some times in there evaluations of this complicated games of the most high level.I really preciate I can have the games and even with this so good analysis in you tube.Thnk you very much
It's especially notable that chess is so complicated that Tarrasch's proverb, even in the computer age, still is true. It is even said by some people that there are more chess positions than atoms in the universe.
Of course, without mistakes chess would be dead. But at this level a trap has to be very deep, like the one in this game, to succeed. Often one just blunders or small mistakes count up.

True, the number of positions is only around 10^43, Claude Shannon says. However, this number includes illegal ones. Other people go as high as 10^50 legal positions.
The estimated number of atoms in the whole universe is around 10^80, by the way.
Thanks for making me looking the numbers up on Wikipedia (articles: Shannon number / Observable universe)! It's interesting. However, it's a tertiary source, so no guarantee on the info!
Ehm... It is possible to make a fairly accurate estimation of the possible number of moves in chess - estimating the number of atoms in the universe on the other hand is purely speculative. (sure, some will assert one number or another as 'fact'. These people should consider the difference between a plausible theory and truth - and maybe play some chess.)
No, it isn't great, in my opinion! I was in a hurry and my opinion was entirely wrong (Anand won again yesterday, while I would've expected 7.Qxf5). Ok, I'll make some more.

there are estimated 10^69 atoms in our galaxy and about 500 billion known galaxies.
