Gainsville Sun: 4 policemen in Gainsville, FL, had LSD put in their coffee by a Dunkin Donuts employee. One officer ended up shooting & wounding a shopper leaving Wal Mart. Another officer returned to the police station & locked himself in a bathroom stall for 3 hours. The 3rd officer went home in the middle of his shift & slept for 2 days. The4th officer pulled over a motorist on Route 20, traded cars, & was later found 75 miles away in a Dunkin Donuts in St. Augustine, demanding free coffee.
imagine this without any distortion, about two times as fast and with some primitive vocals thrown in. It would be a nice pop song. Good thing I hate pop music and love doom, so this is perfect.
To me, this band represents everything that all the other bands playing sludge/grunge at the time were afraid to do. Being highly influenced by the Melvins, they took guitar distortion and made it into an art. I highly respect these guys and think they easily trump Sunn O))), Nirvana, or anything else that is a derivative of them.
This song makes me wanna rape things , many things, anything- a bagel will do.
