Its his car, some people drive in different ways, who cares if he kills his clutch, he can put a new one in. How does 20% to 90% work, lol, im not trolling on you but i doubt he does that every time he takes off. i have an 89 lebaron 2.2 t2 5-speed, it is the quickest car i have driven and i have owned 8 cars. It has slight mods and i only payed 850$ for it. Barely anybody posting before me knows what they are talking about lol.

vnt stats 174 hp at 5200 and 225 ft pds of torque up from 200 on the regular turbo but as stated by chrysler engineers it was unreliable in early forms but the technology carries to deisels now, and as stated by the same engineers the engine was extremly prone to head gasket failure and adding boost only made it magnified.sit and spin buddy

@teamsterjeffrey you must not know how to work on them then ass because i have a 90 shelby vnt and yes your right about the head gasket blowing easy and if you knew anything youd know that the moter was built for superchargers not turbo dodge changed it at the last min and put turbo but if you knew how to work on one youd know to change to a steel head gasket problem solved mines doing just fine since i did that and thats still at stock 14psi but i know how to work on cars

440sac you clearly don't know shit look it up the vnt turbo has no lag and I know this since I own a 90 shelby with the vnt and no lag bc they don't use a wastgate it blows off threw the air breather so no lag

just so everyone knows but the 2.2 is stronger then the 2.5 and the 3.0 v6 my 90 shelby has 175hp but puts 230tq and thats becuse it has the vnt tubro stock with 15lbs of boost when the none shelbys only put 6lbs and the vnt has no lag but the none vnt does have alot of lag

@440sac no learn something the vnt does not have any lag its called variable nozzle it has movable vains in it and the comp controls the boost and no waste gate it blows off back threw the air box so sry no lag its the same setup as diesel ever notice once a diesel is tuned the turbo boost is instant why because diesels computer stock slowly gives boost but on gas its instant but cant upgrade the vnts boost like with normal turbos can put a boost controller vnt cant because the comp controls it

@440sac Wrong....at least some are inperceptible..... My 88' mitsubishi-built Dodge Colt 100 Turbo hatchback had about no lag at all over 2000 Rpm. and w/o variable nosle Turbo nor intercooler.!!!  A Cummins has no lag AT ALL in my buddie's Ram

@kylerocks666 dude it will smoke a awd talon well atleast the 90 vnts like mine will they had to put the shelby daytona in 90 they put it in the awd class because it smoke every fwd in its class mine is stock and it puts 15 pounds of boost and no lag at all as fast as you can floor it and snap your fingers its at full boost but the only bad thing with the vnt is you cant put a boost controler because the boost is run by the computer and 3 silonds and loves to blow head gaskets lol

@kylerocks666 Told your buddie that he's right in stock config. cuz you have the 150 H.p. version even if you have more torque your car is heavyer but told your buddie that his engine will transform itself into a grenade wayyyyy before your Mopar-built engine if both of you cranks up the boost !!! ( But don't forget to add the biggest intercooler you can on your 2.5 ) And get rid of the balance shaft, you'll gain extra 10 horses with very little vibration in idle only !!!

@CountingMagpies yea front wheel drive sucks but I owned one of these daytonas one time 13 years ago, surprised all the honda boys with a dodge, dodge made the 1st pocket rocket cars before honda ever even thought of anything past gas mileage!!!!!!!!!!!!! some of these cars will do 13 seconds stock...
