My mom is dealing with her 2nd bout with cancer and even though we have not had the best relationship and I don't act as if it's affecting me, it's killing me slowly inside little by little to see her everyday in her state. This and other personal battles, heartbreak/heartache makes me relate to this song. It's as if she's singing what I'm feeling and wanting to say and also giving me hope at the same time. I hope someday my mom and I will recover.
