  • @ilZatch Same ! It sounds so great, it's hard to believe it's vocals only.

  • @ThatsNotFunnyFilms In barbershop, they call those overtones (what makes it sound so amazing) the "angel's voice".

  • @JohnathanLingo Well that suits them well :O

  • @ilZatch AHAAA SAME HERE

  • Barbershop needs to make a comeback.

  • @TheJboy88 At my school I suggested that we bring it back so we made two quartets it awesome! I'll see if i can post a video sometime.

  • I play the tenor in our production. It's basically the hardest music to read ever if you're not used to barbershop style, but it sounds sooooo good

  • Ice cream or I scream ?

  • Everyone should check this new band "Castlecomer" out.

They are like a Barbershop Quintet/ Folk Rock Band.

Type in "Castlecomer - Amazing Grace"

  • @jsquad31 He didn't he copied it from someone else

  • @batman66652 I know, I was being sarcastic.

  • When you hear amazing harmony like these guys, you realize what a joke shows like "American Idol" are! Notice on Idol the people with more flash, style, looks and attitude almost ALWAYS trump the ones with pure talent. Yet, it's the same almost everywhere. I mean, how is it possible that out of the countless talented TV newscasters or meteorologists available, CNN, Fox - all the channels, really - so many are beautiful women who could easily be a swimsuit model? Talent? Competence? PLEASE!

  • mon doux que j'aime cela c'est si beau! çà me va directement au coeur

  • dude the high pitched guy is like 1000000000 times better than justine bieber

  • @shazibIsMySon Anything is better than Justin Bieber.

    makes you think.

  • @NyehProductions to be fair shes infamous

  • @NyehProductions

    Rebecca Black is infamous

    its different

  • @NyehProductions that little kids run the industry.

  • @NyehProductions the Music Man came out in 1962, people had standards and culture back then lol

  • @truthslap some still do. i was born in '92 and i enjoy listening to this

  • I enjoy how the tenor is giving the shocker at 2:10

  • I think I know who inspired the Cyanide and Happiness Barbershop Quartet now!

  • When people could sing. Not todays nigger music.

  • @doginstine Hahaha, I bet the music you listen to is influenced by so called niggers.

  • 14 people dont like awesome music

  • What's the definition of a male quartet?

    Three men and a tenor.

  • I'm playing Jacey Squires in the show.. This weekend will be the last weekend of the run of the show... Surprised my voice hasn't gone completely out yet. This is so umpiring!!

  • barbershop music creeps the hell out of me.

  • @ReioStudio I'm sorry

  • i kinda want icecream now

  • Anyone think the guy on the right looks like J Jonah Jameson?

  • ICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCE CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM!

  • Gotta love the Buffalo Bills!

  • the people that disliked this vid have the iq of a creaking inch worm lol

  • I sing popular songs a cappelle, care to check them out?

  • How to defuse any argument:

    "Say ice creeeeam..."

  • Who is playing Harold Hill here?

  • @gailalong The original Music Man "Robert Preston".

  • @zanzan42 Hahaha, Dick Grapes.

  • @RWJISBEAST14 so immature.

  • @Halletify how is that immature? I like the highest pitched guy's voice too...

  • Man how great.

  • The tenor...Verne Green...died of Alzheimers about 10 years ago. The base passed away shortly after the movie was made and the lead somewhere in between. I think the baritone is still alive.

  • @rgfisher21 All four members of the quartet on Broadway and the movie are dead. The original baritone (Dick Grapes) who won the International Quartet Contest with them in 1950, declined to go to Broadway. He is still alive.

  • i saw the newer one and it was so bad i had to come re watch this scene to make it better lol Love this movie

  • Aww... I love this movie

  • Love this musical... It's one of my all time favorites!!

  • what if justin bieber did this

  • @SamcoIndustries Break a leg.

  • Barbershop!

  • "where is the good in goodbye"

    Love that line

  • I love watching this now that I actually sing bass. :)

  • ryan dunn sent me here

  • this scares me for some reason.

  • Barbershop..... the beginning stages of group harmony. Without Barbershop there would never have been a Rhythm Boys, Boswell Sisters, Mills Brothers, Merry Macs, Four Hits & A Miss, Modernaires, or Pied Pipers or a few years later, Skyliners, Platters, Crewcuts, or Four Freshmen. A Important detail that should be remembered.

  • Friends and me at Uni did this, I'm the tenor :D

  • ice cream???

  • @giginator92 Ice cream.

  • 13 people don't like ice cream.

  • Gotta love the harmonies. :)

  • I wish this was a real place

  • hey! i need 3 fucker that know how to do this!

    :D

  • what song is this????

  • @guitarcrazyloop Sincere

  • And incidentally, Fireworks show up right after they finish singing. What a coincidence. *sarcasm* *sarcasm*

  • I'm playing Oliver Hix! "Nothing of the kind!"

  • i lurv this

  • No ice-cream for 10 people

  • I love the tenor haha

  • Vern Reed = Win.

  • The Short guy is an alto I think, right? I would kill to have a voice like his. Literally.... :)

  • @ispeaknonsense I'm not sure what you'd call him. He could probably sing in the alto range alright. The typical "barbershop tenor" sings in falsetto, equivalent to the male alto or countertenor. But this guy sings in modal, or "chest" voice, which makes him a high tenor. Terms used for that voice type include "tenorino" and "tenor altino".

  • @eoinsac High tenor. Nice. See I sing Off-key Baritone.

  • @ispeaknonsense And I sing tenor! (exclusively in falsetto, I'm a countertenor the rest of the time).

  • These guys are so damn good. Put many other quartets to shame.

  • Truely Marvelous.

  • all these poor bastards are probably dead now

  • @mustcrust The bass actually died only a year after this movie was released.

The only surviving member of the Buffalo Bills was a baritone that joined after the end of this production.

  • @mustcrust The movie was made in the early 60's. They're mostly likely still kicking.
