I had forgotten about this short! Thanks for posting it, it'ss is my favourite of the Stooges with Nazi Spy. I was sure that I had seen Moe imitating Hitler with the mustache!! So the playing with the world was actually done before Charlie Chaplin's dictator!! I think this parody of the Nazis is priceless and Moe is super!!

What was great is that Moe, Curly( Jerome) and Shemp Howard (Horowitz)were Jewish. The epoisodes poking fun at hitler and the nazis was an ironic twist. I loved it! Moes imitation of hitler was excellent.

Especially when he started to do the nazi jibberish. There were some lines that they said that really cut ole adolf at the knees. Made the humor so much enjoyable. Interesting too was the fact that the actors that played; Col Klink, Maj Hocksteder, Gen Burkolder and Sgt Schult were also Jewish. Makes an ironic twist to the humor don't you think "mine heir" Gotta Love the Irony!

Here's some more irony: Hitler's father was Jewish. His last name was originally "Heidler" but Adolf changed it to the more German-sounding "Hitler" to distance himself. There was also a story about when Moe left the studio in a rush one day to get to his daughter's birthday party while dressed as Hitler that there were police reports of people seeing Hitler running red lights in Hollywood!

@RDG484 From what ive seen and heard..his great grandmother was supposedly jewish. If his father was jewish i would understand why he changed his name, so to distancince himself. His father used to beat him and his mother. (It's kinda wierd knowing a lot about Hitler. :/ )
