you know you are a legend when actors base their work on Buster Keaton. Jakie Chan said that he was such a fan that he based some of his stunts off what Buster did. Keaton is a poineer of movies.
My mother and I were watching this tonight and when he got the money stuck on his hands she said 'this must be where the phrase came from 'take this off my hands!' LOL
If they got a time machine while I'm still alive, I want to go to the goddamn twenties or so. That was a fascinating time were a small band was playing beside the movie screen and there was no dialogue. All these movies nowadays were they say 'fuck, shit, bitch' and all those words. Man, than, a silent movie was silent besides the music. I also love the comedy, which was different than it is nowadays (the comedy with the annoying laughing track)
the funny thing is that he makes other people laugh without changing his facial expressions ... never a comic expression like Oliver&Hardy or Chaplin (3 gods),but he was funny in the same way
Absolutely wonderful. To be so entertaining all these decades later is a testament to his talent. Who needs color or sound when you have REAL entertainment? Thank you much for this. I can't wait to see the rest of it.
My favorite funny man of that time period.

Another great talent whom the public would not accept in talkies. It seems he had a very rough time getting through it, as many did. God bless 'im.

@TheBookWorm1718 Yes he was sooo adorable, and I too would have loved to know him. Ah alas, I was born in the wrong time period... :'(

@SpockLover27 Weren't we all? It seems anymore there's hardly anybody famous worth knowing anymore, most of the good ones have all died out.

Ah, yes, 0:40 - the first of what will hopefully be many pratfalls. Buster Keaton turned falling down into an art form.
