LOL what a Joke this guy is. His staff wanted him committed to a mental institution just days before he won re-election.....and they didn't let the voters know! Shows how corrupt and disgusting the democratic party has become. I can only pray more democrats are exposed for their mental instability ...Pelosi and Reed for sure. We shuold demand their medical records be made public.
I like David Wu for emailing the pics!!! It shows he is human. How many times have other professionals shared pictures of themselves at company parties to their coworkers, or have even shared their fun side on facebook? There are a lot of sane people who aren't afraid of showing their fun side, even to ease pressure of job related stress! There's nothing wrong with him, there is something wrong with the rest of the people for thinking that Americans would rather have a robot in politics.
@StigRossi Thats right, when you disagree with someone you should call them names, swear at them and make sure you threaten them. You sound like a very reasonable, accepting and openminded individual; a perfect example of the liberal type.
Anyone that tries to stereotype liberals is just an idiot. I would never try to stereotype conservatives. Repubs yes, beause most of them are idiots, but conservatives no.
I bet you the other guys on the HIll were rolling their eyes and laughing. But I totally get what he was saying, I dont like what those Faux Klingons did to this country.
Klingons in the white house. Klingons are a fictional war-like race who's main philosophies and ideologies are honour and bravery above all else...and you what he's right
Tell them the truth David Wu, there are faux-Klingons in the White House! Why Wu brought it up: "During the campaign Bush's foreign policy advisers came up with a nickname to describe themselves. They dubbed their team the Vulcans, in honor of the Roman god of fire, the forge of metalwork."
Star Trek actually brings out many philosophical ideas. Bringing them up in conversation labels a person "batshit insane". I agree with what he said there and I consider it a good point. It may be from a fictional tv program, but that series has brought up more human thought and ideas to light that should be discussed.
Like I said, Star Trek is just one incarnation as to the insights Gene Roddenberry had on human thought. It would be similar if this congressman brought up Socrates, Plato, Kant, James, Kierkegaard, Niche, or some other philosopher to form an argument. He just mentions Star Trek which was the medium Gene Roddenberry decided to portray his ideas. Dismissing something because it's just "entertainment" negates and removes all art from the work.
Hey, the war distracts people from the cuts in healthcare and the war on anti-war demonstrators, on the poor and homeless, and on anyone who dares question the Republicans.
Right, that's the problem with America, reality has been replaced with fantasy. If there will be a nuclear war one day, you'll probably think it's a publicity stunt for the release of Terminator 4.
@rngkushner Its called StumbleUpon and its stupid sometimes.
If he really wants to fix the worlds problems he oughtta try an inverse tachyon pulse emitted from the forward deflector array. Its always an inverse tachyon pulse emitted from the forward deflector array. Or shutdown everything except life support.
Is he really counting on the star trek vote? How powerful is that lobby?
"heh heh,hey Dick(in the booty)Cheney, heh heh, already told you the insurgency is in it's last throes, heh heh,er ah,alkida,er um,stay the course, heh heh,it undermines the troops to ask me if my daughters should join the military, heh heh,Rummy will stay on as Sec of Defense, heh heh er ah and we will suurge and train the iraqis heh heh"
"During the campaign Bush's foreign policy advisers came up with a nickname to describe themselves. They dubbed their team the Vulcans, in honor of the Roman god of fire, the forge of metalwork."
"... The name had started as a joke, but it caught on, and the campaign group began to use it in public. The word, "Vulcans", captured perfectly the image the Bush foreign policy team sought to convey, a sense of power, toughness, resilience and durability."
The government needs to realise that the people are sovereign and that we are in charge and they can not impose their rules upon them who are in charge!
Now the Borg controls the White House.

No, the bringing it up of philisophical ideas or even Star Trek references doesn't make one BSC.
