  • What was that picture of the Alternative Ian America?

  • 2:25 to 2:33 Again with this?! What is it with you and shadow the hedgehog? One of these days, your just gonna wake up and find a chaos spear stuck halfway through the ceiling.

  • Sorry bob, I love ya, but this has to be said:

Take a shot every time Bioshock and objectivism are mentioned in one of these episodes.

  • one thing we can agree about...NO MORE GREED POWER WAR!!!

  • its very ironic how assasins creed is a Canadian made game set in places like israel, rome vennice and so on. and speaking as a canadian there should be more games about a canadian

(i know there was a scott pilgrim game and i dont care if wolverine is candadian that game sucked)

  • Oh god, charge your phone

  • Semper Fi!

  • For some reason this reminds me of The Big Picture. Wait Moviebob is in this right? I guess that explains it, I love his videos. :D

  • @lotro4ever4000 i think that would get ugly, at least over this subject. Yahtzee hates America, or at least comes off that way cuz he makes fun of it a lot. Idk, would be interesting.

  • GTA wannabe staring a Tupac wannabe... BURN xD

  • 50 Cent fighting islamic terrorists makes about as much sense as Captain America joining forces with The Red Skull.

  • Where is yahtzee when you need him

  • I think some people might think I'm joking when I say this, but I like to see a game where you play as the Canadian army, we did lots of things in both world wars, in WWI we took Vimy Ridged from the germans, France even made a memorial for us, and in WWII, we kicked ass durring D-Day, we had the second hardest beach(Juno) and even though we were the last group to reach Normady, we finished clearing out the beach first.

  • @Quickpatch12 As Canadians, we would have to make that game because no one else remembers us in any of the wars. It's rather sad.

  • Well to be fair there have been plenty of dominant armies in human history who weren't representing fuck all worth fighting for...especially for the people they were invading lol.

  • you sir have just earned yourself a sub

  • Am I the only one who thinks that Bob's voice sound exactly like Sonic when sped up ?

  • Trouble is people want too play a game were you kick islamofacist terrorist arse. But no one would make it till cod4. Give gamers what they want thats all we ask.

Because so many games have left leaning ideology it's nice too play a right wing game for a change.

  • i'd like to point out that master chief is the character rank and a navy one at that for some reason. the highest marine enlisted rank would be a master gunnery sargent. sparten is a name given because of the treatment he went through, maybe it is rating

  • @jigaboon I concur. Which part? All of it.

  • the arabs in cod4 aren't islamic terrorist, they are some random army from a random middle east tyrant more like saddam hussein than ben laden

  • Another intelligent gamer, there is a god :D

  • At least 50 cent follows the UK art world. Have you seen Damien Hurst's Diamand Incrusted Skull.

  • your whole argument here boils down to "must not be turned off by "anti-americanism" because the "proamerican" alternative isn't AS "proamerican" as it possibly could have been."

which, frankly, is a very stupid argument. and you should feel stupid for making it.

  • there is one MASSIVE hole in the entire premise of your little monologue. the version of events that "conservative culture critics" put forth, as you describe, is that people turn away from movies because their "anti-american". this does not, in anyway, require that whatever they're turning to be "pro-american". it only requires that this alternative be neutral, if that.

  • @norms29 Isn't that a hole in the Republican talk show hosts theory? I believe Moviebob's argument centered on the fact that most of the games they're using as examples aren't nearly as patriotic as Rush Limbaugh (for example) thinks they are. I mean, do you think Rush has ever actually sat down and played Halo, or CoD? They're citing these games as examples of patriotism, but there are games with much more patriotism in them out there, that AREN'T as popular. BTW, you're a total ponce.

  • Nobody in Oregon says Oregon, so I think your doing it wrong.

  • Valve, Bethesda, ID Software, and Tripwire aren't Japanese. But yeah, a lot of developers are.

  • Minor point: the reason Vietnam is now being ignored by the games industry is that they tried making Vietnam games ~7 years ago (look up Shellshock: Nam '67, Conflict: Vietnam, and/or Men of Valor) and apparently none of them sold very well. So they went back to WWII for a while until COD4 tried the "modern war" thing and succeeded.

  • fuck you .simple

  • Your imperialistic army that is the biggest threat to world peace since Hitler needs support? Hell no. You need to wake up and ask yourselves just what the heck you're doing. You have to ask yourselves one question: "Are we the baddies?" You think not. The rest of the world think you are.

  • @ubbecykelkedja

Depending on the circumstances, of course. Admit it, most of the western world (I think) were behind the US of A when the war in Iraq was getting started. However, once there was no proof that there had been any nukes availabe that Saddam was gonna hand over to Al Qaida, people started to question what the 'mericans where still doing over there.

As for being the biggest threat to world peace since Hitler? Godwins Law aside, America doesn't make use of concentration camps.

  • @Tzilandi Perhaps not concentration camps, but it's pretty hard to close the eyes for the absolute bastards that have been been corrupting their way to total power in the United States. It has been going on for quite some time now. The foreign policy committed from the government crooks like CIA, has created a US History that would give any megalomaniac with psychopathic tendencies a bulge in his pants for a week.

I'm not pointing fingers here. I'm just saying enough must be enough. Like Egypt.

  • @ubbecykelkedja

Ok, granted, the US being buddy-buddy with an acknowledged dictatorship (Egypt under Mubarak) does sound hypocritical, but the comparison to Nazi Germany is still going a bit too far in my opinion... maybe that's why they got so up in arms about Wikileaks; nobody amongst the corrupt officials (not ALL officials, just the corrupt) didn't want their laundry getting aired.

Maybe a deeper insight into certain organizations (CIA, FBI, IRA) would help with making them friendlier.

  • "the best armies are always representing something worth fighting for"

    are you fucking insane?..

  • @ColonelVolkov

As opposed to fighting for the sake of fighting? Yes, someone with a reason, like say, democrazy, will probably fight a bit harder.

  • Wow. I had that EXACT same sandbox when I was a kid! And I played with my G.I. Joe figures till sand got in all the joints and busted them. Ah ... memories.

  • moviebob, yattzhe and video game nerd in the same room would be soo cosmic

  • @void735 i get the impression moviebob and yahtzee wouldn't get along too well...Not that they'd actively dislike each other, just "meh" . Of course, I don't personally know moviebob OR yahtzee, so...yea.

  • My brother's in the Navy. He says you're welcome haha

  • Actually his rank is Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, which is why they call him a "Master Chief" of course. Master Chief Petty Officer is real rank, too. I think it's the highest rank in the U.S. Navy, even though John (Master Chief) always seems to take orders, rather than give them.

  • One of the main things I hate about WW2 FPS's is that most (Not all but most) of them have settings where aamerica was the good guy or all the good guys are American or Canadien. The US wasn't the only country to fight in WW2 (or 1 for that matter) I'd like to see a game where you're a russian solder in Stalingrad, no matter if it's a good game or a bad game just give us a game where you're not an american fighting for "Truth, Justice and mums home made apple pie"

  • @CharlieHunt2020 Totally agree with you on this, but here's the thing...America is one of the few countries that came out of World War 2 in the red. Our mainland didn't get bombed or invaded (England, Russia, ect), but we also got directly attacked (unlike Canada, Austrailia). So, we make a pretty picture is all. Plus, I may not even be right. This is just how I see it. (I don't even like first person shooters...)

  • @CharlieHunt2020 a wartime FPS that doesn't just feature america? you mean like all of the COD games, that generally feature britain or russia in the WW2 setting or the SAS in the modern setting, the whole point of this video is that these games by themselves aren't really patriotic or unpatriotic, they're just depictions of events, and the real problem comes from people who dnt know or play these games, and make assumptions about what they stand for. you sir just landed yourself in this group

  • @CharlieHunt2020 You want a game like that? Its called Call Of Duty World At War. You play as a russian soldier in Stalingrad - _ -

  • @FLAlVlE i hope you are recomending that cuz gary oldman's sgt reznov and the repeated usage of the name dimitri is one the most unintensionally hilarious bits of a game i have ever seen

  • @FaRrOwFoXlol I'm recommending the game because you asked for one that featured the battle at Stalingrad, now if you want a game where the main protagonist isn't American and instead Russian, tell a Russian game producer to make an FPS i'm sure you can play it then

  • @FLAlVlE i didnt ask for anything, i think that was someone else you are pissed at. i loved world at war, not as good as CoD 3 but still not bad by any means. and i have no problem with american protagonists despite the fact that being british, americanism is meant to annoy the hell out of me but i have a quiet admiration for the american idiology and a deathening admiration for the american war veterans

  • @yersimapestis how very american transcendentalistic of you to say.

  • Sigh*

Why can't games just be games nowadays?

  • wait wat wait wait... wait.... Japan has hard-on for our culture!?!?

I thought it was just us who loved them

  • @TheVecan 'Course. Why do you think almost all Anime characters are white?

  • Seriously, dude. There is no right or wrong. It is always subjective. I don't think a single person in the middle east thinks that the american army is great. they KILLED alot of innocent people. Al qaeda think they are right. There is no right or wrong thing to fight for.

  • @yersimapestis yes a study came out and they killed 35 iraqi innocent ppl every singal say they iraqi war went on

  • 5:41

Yea I'm still confused about what people's problems were with MGS2. Sure Raiden was blabbing about some romance shit to rose but it's all the same near pointless classic MGS drivel to me.

Wasnt thrilled about the cartwheeling naked Raiden though... but I guess that at least put some new female butts behind the controllers.

  • @Paur Raiden lacked facial and body hair and had a voice with a slightly higher pitch than Solid Snake. That was the biggest thing that annoyed people really.

  • @Salnax I do believe that is a big part of it myself; gamers don't like change (*cough*DMC*cough).

But others also theorize that players also hated it because it was a not very subtle deconstruction of the fact that *they* are not Solid Snake. For some I suppose it sticks in their craw, but for me it makes it that much more awesome.

  • I agree mostly. Though the only thing that disagree with is a personal view.

I don't revere Military. I respect the members, to a point and I acknowledge that it's a hellish thing to have to do, but to revere them as a group.. NO.

Simply put, Not enough of them have the balls to say THIS IS WRONG. when it comes to something that we "as a country" Have no fucking right to do. Yes, I know it's hard to do what they where 'Told' to do, but come one... WTF is the common moral core.

  • @moongoboom

He doesn't acknowledge that the Japanese are a superior race at all. He DOES acknowledge the fact that a large portion of what makes the Gaming Culture of today did come from Japan. I think you're confusing his love of Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo with a love of Japan in general.

  • 2 words: glorified war

  • I've agreed with you every single second up until 2:26

Fuck you! that was a good game!

But besides that you rule. Stick to the CoD douches!

  • 4:38

I don't see why though. What do they see in American "culture" that they like so much? I think they want to subtly make fun of us using the stereotype. The reason Nintendo will not re-release Earthbound on the virtual console is supposedly because it has offensive stereotypes of Americans, although when I played it, I didn't see it as being very racist.

  • @moongoboom

PS: What exactly makes you proud to be from America. You clearly acknowledge that the Japanese are a superior race. You admit that the entertainment industry owes it's existence as it is today to them, and yet you still like the country that produced Revenge of the Fallen.

  • @moongoboom

One more thing. In your review of 9, you railed against snobs saying Japan holds monopoly over animation and video games, if not entertainment itself. On the other hand, you do like to mention that Japan does hold monopoly over entertainment not aimed at frat boys, what's the difference.

  • @moongoboom Japan makes better games. Deal with it.

  • Mater gear solid didn't center on patriotism and honor. It centered on the bullshit of war itself, and just how disposable a single person is when they're in the army.

  • Gotta Admit, I was with yea til the end my friend. No offense meant but I equate how great a army is, to what it is doing as well, and frankly what we are doing seems wrong, now this isn't me simply stating my beliefs, I just kinda gotta vibe of anti war in Iraq from you, then at the end you go on about how great soldiers are as if actions don't matter all of a sudden . It was like a I support our troops ribbon on a otherwise great video..it was confusing and mildly disturbing to me.

  • @RCoehrs That's what he means by seeing them being disrespected, which includes distorting their purpose for a political goal or any other goal that doesn't include protecting their country which is why most of them raise their right hand and pledge to do that. Any sane soldier doesn't wish to go into an unarmed country and start firing.

  • @JoshPahr ..Korea ,Vietnam,Iraq..Time is showing the army is less about protection and more about world influence..which bites us in the ass. All I am saying is backtracking to not sound un-patriotic is oddly enough in this country, Very Unpatriotic in itself

  • @RCoehrs i never backtracked, I said that troops volunteer their lives to defend the country. Where ever in the world they end up is no fault of their own, or who they're fighting. Though it seems more people are opposed to the war than for, but we did elect Bush for a second term, and even Obama isn't pulling them out. You don't have to support the war, but the troops deserve more support than their getting. Send a care package, email a troop overseas, that support keeps them sane.

  • You know, you're absolutely right. But I just want to say that no talking head from either side ever shows that there's a brain propping up the massive ego. Trust me, I'm a conservative myself, but the talking heads are, and always have been, just friggin' awful. And I get the feeling that if they do say something intelligent, it's completely accidental and they promise not to do it again.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, you pronounced Oregon wrong!

  • lol shadow the hedgehog

  • They're commercials to get kids to enlist, which they're too fat for now anyway! Youd think Liberals would like something that makes more soldiers.

  • To be fair, Lions for Lambs was a GREAT movie, just not necessarily a great IRAQ WAR movie.

  • you know what...............you people go fuck your selfs..,.........they are good games but they are patriotic............what about the people that help eveyone online and risk there online lives.........ya i know they are not living but ya i see your point

  • DYNASTY WARRIORS are CHINA history!!!!

  • That 50 cent game reminds me of Shaq-Fu

  • Um..... Dynasty Warriors is Chinese history, not Japanese history

  • i really dont understand why everone hates shadow the hedgehog so much. i mena, sure there were a lot of cheap deaths, and i certainly was not the best game i ever played, but it was a good game for me

  • Haha. Raiden Suxorz! He is teh ghey!

  • the guy who made platoon actually went to Vietnam as a soldier you stupid cunt.

  • @rtngolem

He's not making fun of Platoon. He's making fun of the people that think that's how it actually was. Joke's on them...Platoon is one guy's story about how war is hell, but it's not history like some of my fellow libs think it is.

  • Outside the us, we all wanna play this games as terrorist.

Not that we care about the belives, ideology, etc. is just so fucking boring been all about the US army over, and over, and over again in every game in general.

  • "The best armies are always the ones representing something worth fighting for." naaa dont think so, the best armies are the ones that are the best funded, one Iraqi protecting his home is braver than 100 American soldiers who are there lets face it for the oil.

  • @flipleg yup i pretty much agree, they dont have stealthbombers, über-armourd tanks or hitech wepons, but still it differs from solider to solider. btw rome total war is AWESOME

  • To be frank, the sheer ridiculousness and clusterfuckness of Shadow is why I like it, no matter how much I try not to.

  • I'd say GameOverthinker is a little bit of a hypocrite here he said in his wishlist episode that he would want to see celebrities getting more creative with their endorsments and here is 50 cent fighting off terrorists finding crystal skulls and Brutal Legend fighting with a guitar that has powers to call down lighting, create sonic booms, and melt faces fighting and a giant ass axe

  • Well, I see what you mean. The difference is that GameOverthinker wanted celebrities to take chances and add their names to some interesting, different stuff, while the 50 cent games are pretty much nothing more than 50 cent indulging himself in what he wishes were his real life.

  • @coolgeek35

OK, brutal legend was pretty creative, but blood on the sand is a real cliche storm. There is nearly no originality in it except for the fact that it's a rapper fighting terrorists.

  • Gotta love americans (sarcasm) xD

But anyways, great videos, this guy rocks ^^ (honestly)

  • Okay if you'd allow me to be a total douchebag for the next five seconds, as a citizen of the state of Oregon, I'd like to say that Oregon, in "Oregon Trail" is pronounced Ore-GUN, not Ore-GONE.

Okay with that out of the way, nice vid, I discovered your videos on Screwattack and they re very insightful. This whole thing reminds me of when I visited an opening-night event for Modern Warfare 2, muscling my way through National Guard recruiters and overcaffeinated teenagers to pick up the game.

  • Share you point of view in this one TGO

  • blood in the sand was actually ok.

  • 9:29 "The best armies are always the ones representing something worth fighting for." While I agree with many of your thesi, this point holds little water. That's like saying the Crusades were noble because they resulted in so many deaths from the Catholic army, or that Hitler went unconquered for so long because his cause was just. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Rest of the vid is spot on, just like the rest. +1.

  • I unlocked the tea bag achievement by accident.

  • Lol I never noticed that about Solid Snake's name. ha.

  • You are aware that dynasty warriors is set in China, not japan right?

  • its apparent that your a moron and blind

  • Missed the point on Bioshock. It's not a tribute to Ayn Rand, it's a vicious deconstruction, meant to demonstrate the impracticality and futility of Objectivism.

  • 2:32

    lol

    quite true,man

that game turned my siter from a genesis fun fan to a boring, always pessimisstict idiotic (sony fangirl) Emo.

  • 3:34

    yes I do

  • Maybe it's a little out of place being that I am not from the U.S. (which can't call just America because you know America it's a whole continent and you cannot call it North America because that include Mèxico and Canada) but what is so worth fighting for in Iraq? I mean you cannot lie to yourself the real reason for that war is to steal Oil what is so heroic about killing people for Oil?

  • Not to get into the whole war debate since I'm against it also, but it wasn't about Oil. Iraq is the 15th largest producer of oil. Really, it was Bush the 2nd trying to undo the critism of Bush the 1st (which would be not displacing Hussein after he invaded Kuwait in 1990). Bush even said, in the early push to go to war, "this is a guy who tried to kill my father". So it was personal really. Also because Iraq had the ability to launch missles at Israel, while countries like Iran can't yet.

  • He wasn't talking about Iraq in that statement.

  • im sure this guy has a life....

i mean...JUST LOOK AT ALL OF HIS REFERENCES

i actually think that his rants are something to actually think about, even if it just has things that deal around gaming and gaming industries. Think about it, if he can rant on and on about shit that the gaming industry has done, good or bad, what makes you think theres less things that are fucked up in life itself?

  • Ehm, but mario is italian, only the fact is from brookylin doesn't seem to me a patriotic "american" quality...

  • ...Master Chief is a rank.

  • you know mousse, you say fuck the troops. yeah thats smart. you don't support them when they make it to where you can live whatever life you live. its because of the troops that we are able to do more than half the stuff we can do every day. if you won't support them, fine, get in front of them and see if your near as brave as they are.

  • You talk about the people we're fighting in Iraq as you think "they did 9/11" when it's common knowledge that they did and all they're doing is defending their families from the same ignorant, racist dipshits you hate listening to on xbox live so much; there to vent their ignorant hatred over 9/11 against anyone with brown skin and a different religeon.

And Fuck The Troops, seriously. It was common knowledge the war was illegal; anyone who volunteered for it is therefore a war criminal.

  • Dynasty Warriors in CHINESE history...

  • 6:14

That would be the greatest movie of all time.

  • those army fetish guys'll be really dissapointed when cammy comes out of the closet

  • Dynasty Warriors is Chinese history XP... research before you reference something

  • we could be wooden ninjas made of...stuff shooting tree men with guns that shoot sticks, essantially the same idea as any other game with a gun, us beatin the snot outta someone else using guns and our amazing ability to survive 20 more bullets than every1 else

  • Are you sure you're commenting on a right video? Since I sure didn't find the part he would have said that CoD4 was not a good game.

  • he never said it was a bad game

  • Actually, Dynasty Warriors is about Chinese history.

    Otherwise, yeah.

  • Not so much history as it is a story about the history. Romance of the Three Kingdoms is closer to being China's "version" of the tales of King Arthur... only it involves the whole country.

  • Yeah, that's true. It's not exactly very historically accurate.

  • you are a very fascinating individual but i have one question.

i have watched up to here and right now i am confused if ur hating on MGS or not :P

  • when did he ever say he disliked metal gear solid?

  • he never did it was just seeming like it on how he talked about metal gear solid like how snake is a gardener. after watching more of his videos i see that he is a fan metal gear solid 4

  • Dude, you think straight. Except your own hard-on for the army of the USA. God man, why are some of you Americans so insecure. Can't you just pay homeage to the motto: "Actions speak louder than words" and stop talking about how great you are.

  • Cut us a break, man. On a global scale, we're still teenagers ;)

Look, every nation is proud of being the best at something. Military-readiness is ours. What else do we have? Even the stuff we invent, other countries turn out to be better at ;)

  • uhh... our ability to make apple pie maybe?

  • @moviebob militarism, the preparedness for war and death on a massive massive scale. So proud of that, but I promised myself I wouldn't cry.

  • That Shadow the Hedgehog comment he did in the high-pitched voice made me laugh harder than any thing else he's said. X'D

  • The terrorism thing is really lame. The first few were good, but now they're dumb (except maybe the next COD). Really though, unless you're making a series out of constantly evolving ideas or something that'll push a sub-genre further you really should move on. That's probably the reason why average FPS' are slowly beginning to sell less...

  • I'm sick fighting middle eastern people or just Muslims in general. Because being Muslim you never seen them helping the UN fighting back. Nope all we do is blow shit up and buy nukes and want to kill jews.

  • sigh that sadly is the current stereotype we have

  • So true. What even IS patriotism? How do you even define it? As for Halo... I am not a fan of Halo at all. It's a mediocre game WAAAYYYYY overhyped.

  • only multi player

  • halo is mediocre, halo 3 is good.

  • Who really thinks that 300 is the Iraq war? that's fucking stupid.a. It's about the battle of thermopylae. and b if it was we'd be the persians!

  • to believe that you would need to believe that the book is about the iraq war which is completely untrue.

  • This may be a little too late, but the youtube time limit only counts the minutes, not the seconds, so the real limit is 10:59 O_o.

  • Well, your enemies in the halo series are aliens with an agenda to destroy all human kind because of there religious beliefs. The prophets(the leaders) lied to they're followers and told them that the forerunners(there gods) told them that humanity is an affront to the gods, and so they must be destroyed. Maybe thats why the right-wings love halo. but, i doubt they actually research the games that much.

  • Actually, the prophets were misled too. Their intentions weren't to destroy humanity, they were striving to achieve omniscience. They believed they could accomplish this by firing the Halos.

The humans, knowing that the Halos were in reality ancient weapons capable of ridding the galaxy of all sentient life, attempted to halt the deceived Covenant. The Covenant then compulsively retaliated, perceiving humanity as a threat towards their ultimate goal.

    Continued...

  • While the true identity of the Forerunner is never revealed, they're commonly believed to be the ancestors to the human species. They weren't Gods fabricated by the Covenant.

  • Hahahah! 50cent game....Hahah....has a PLOT! HAHAHAHAHA!!! ^_^

  • I've not seen those arguments about video games from many conservative commentators

  • I use to have that sandbox, no joke.

  • Shadow the Hedgehog is awesome.

  • You forgot to mention Fallout and the Enclave.

  • Many makers of video games actually ARE conservative, if you're a sad fan (like me), you might've caught said preferences in podcasts. But meh, who knows what the "majority" is.

  • Oh, and my example IS Halo (vis a vi Bungie Podcast), the "UNSC" is not a model of the UN if you look at what it does and HOW. Trust me, Halo IS the stuff the "talking heads" are talking about, the references to religious genocide early in the series (and books) are CLEARLY very similar to our predicament.

  • Surely it should go like this:

    Video games are fun

Shooting virtual opponents in a game is fun

Adding a backstory to it makes it more fun

Making it historically accurate makes it more fun

It's just people trying to make fun games, I doubt patriotism really comes into game development much

(Except perhaps Americans, what is up with your guys with that stuff? I'm English. I know it. Simple, no anthem (Don't know it either) or any public displays of patriotism are needed. You just, know. Y'know?)

  • COD is mosty playing as a english solider

  • and?

  • Dynasty Warriors is based on Chinese history, not Japanese.

  • Hmmm...wasn't the original Call of Duty less american and more "You can't win a war alone." . Hell It even ends with the Red Army taking Berlin by storm.

Plus COD 4 was realy cynical about the american side of the conflict. They basicly screw the pooch and was left to the SAS and the rusian army (yeah and even if you don't play with them, they are the one who save you in the end of the game) to clean the mess.

  • geh niggas

  • meh CoD4 strikes me more as a nod to the SAS and how zomg awesome they are with shutting down a nuclear atack basicly with only one team

althrough the ending is a big bitchslap with showing how no one will ever remember them and the sacrifices they had to make and that they will never be remembered as the heroes they are

MW2 goes even further with the whole special forces wanking, with the game including the navy seals (iirc) in addition to the SAS

  • You are so good, I wanna have your babies. And I'm a MAN!

  • Another paradox for you all to ponder over. Video games are from Japan, but they tried to kill us back in WW2. What does that mean? I don't know. Does it have a connection with these so called "Patriot Games"? Maybe. Should the Game Overthinker evaluate this pondering? I hope so.

  • About halo. You got the rank and monaker(sp) mixed up, but still god vid and i get where your going.

  • Videogames are from japan o_o

  • i thought the first one was from russia which was tetris.. and consoles were there earlier than pc's and those came from asia first.

  • he didnt say invented, he meant the majority of video games created nowadays come from japan. Ya know, nintendo, sega capcom, sony, konami, bandai, square enix.

  • Interesting conclusion to your speech.

    WELL SAID!

  • "America isn't great because our army kicks ass, our army kicks ass because America is great."

    You've got the right idea.

  • I liked Shadow the Hedgehog.

  • I don't think it's as bad as everyone says, but it's still not good.

  • it is as bad as everyone says it is.

It's a stain on Sonic the Hedgehog games, on action games, on action-shooter games, on the idea of there being moral choices in video games, and frankly on professional voice acting because I had to set this game on mute 100% of the time.

  • You lie. You just hate it because it doesn't have sonic as the main character, everyone hates it for that.

  • i call bull shit on that. It's bad cuz it's a bad game.

  • Lets see:

    It sucks because it sucks.

    ...

  • Well, yeah, sorry to say but that's the truth.

The gameplay is slow and muggy, worse than Sonic Heroes. The idea of needing guns to dispatch your adversaries in a Sonic game is outlandish in a bad way, as is the need for Dragon Ball style super moves. Than there's the stupid idea of repeating the stage until you finish whatever idiotic objective they want you to accomplish. And lastly there's the vein attempt at being edgy which acts more like a ball and chain to the game than anything else.
