@TheSjpatrik Because first, a video game is far less expensive then buying the book, buying the ingredients, buying the kitchenware, etc.

Second, this gives you a run down of how things in a kitchen instead of just learning how to cook. When you become experienced in cooking, you can instinctly see what's ready, what needs more time, etc. This game helps with that.

Third, your food levitates and spins.

well to say one thing in its favor. There are alot of popular webgames that have this similar format that are free. They are successful free games online and addictive. This upgrades the graphics presentation, and gives you a theme most people are intrigued by, that being Gordon Ramsey and Hell's Kitchen. I think even with the simple premise for the game, its done well for what it is.
