  • It's definitely an awsome aeroplane, pity we can't get a Victor to fly with it.

  • pity about the wind noise, brilliant video none-the-less.

  • @godzillasdad wind was real bad both days per normal...

  • In answer to your question I believe it was 1992 for Southend Airshow at least. (Pictures on Flickr).

My fondest memory was being directly under a Vulcan doing acrobatics down to a few hundred feet on air brakes at an early Mildenhall Air Show around 1982? Dangerous but superb experience! Great video record. Thanks for posting.

  • I has some footage of this on my phone coz i was there :)

  • Beautiful display, well captured, thank you. She makes me smile too.

  • We live right by the seafront and as such take the Air Show a bit for granted i'm afraid ( living here year in year out ) however yesterday i was helping my son with some of his homework upstairs in the office when i heard a roar of jet engines unlike anything else i have heard in recent years other than a low flying Concorde, we both went to the window and saw this magnificent aircraft banking more or less right over our roof, what a privilege to see such an aircraft in the skies, fantastic !

  • @Broomehall she 'snuck' up over my chimneys before looping round Southend Airport just after this display. So graceful, and so low!

  • @bikerchickfrommars Yeah, awesome aircraft, always looks like it's banking in slow motion with no noise, then all of a sudden that roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!! love it...............

  • AWESOME pretty much covers it! what else can you say??

  • Airial photographer ,R.A.F. Waddington

  • Worked on this lovable aircraft and many others in the 70`s .Nice to see she is still up there !!! ( Airial photographer )

  • Just hope it keeps flying in 2012

  • Great footage despite the conditions mate ;)

  • Fantastic effort by VTTS getting XH558 to Southend in tough weather conditions.
