Song of exquiste sadness and beauty at the same time....a voice so lovely and espressive and of the highest quality. I can listen to this song over and over again; it is that beautiful.
I need to add that the air of sadness in Tracy's voice and demeanor is heartbreaking to me, as someone who watched Tracy sing this with Dave. Tracy's voice was never anything but joyful and lucid and ineffably moving when she sang, either lead or backup to Dave Carter.
Gorgeous performance, SJ2197. I can only guess that your nickname means "Silent J with 2137 vociferous fans." In any case, It's lovely to watch Tracy sing "The Mountain" without her partner, Dave Carter. Her voice is as lovely as ever and she acquits herself nicely on guitar. Seeing this makes me miss Dave more than ever, because Tracy plays the most amazing and startling violin part on this song, on the CD "Tanglewood Tree." Thanks for posting SJTWENTYONENINETYSEVEN.... :)
Child, should you ever require sanctuary, I lay my black and blue soul at your feet.
