He has a great voice. My only criticism is that I believe the lyrics he writes are slightly mindless. Almost elementary. He doesn't seem very passionate at all about his music. I think his focus is aimed more towards fame and success honestly. Props either way he made it bigger than I have so far.

@kylejmck I think they try to make it like that in order to make it interpretive so everyone can get something different from it. I don't think guys that make it to the top like this are lazy about there work.

@dsac6007 I never said anything about laziness. Anyone can spend all day creating anything. It can be appreciated, but whether or not there is actually any thought and or meaning behind the creation is questionable in some cases. I also know some people's creativity only expands so far, and I think that is the case with the vocalist. Either that or it just comes off as mindless.

Why would any guitarist consciously try to play LESS like Jonny Greenwood? Pretty sure he is successful for a reason. And yes, as many have pointed out, he has enough of his own style for RHCP to want him. Or maybe he's good enough at copying other peoples' styles that they want him. You should consider hes movement as enjoying music not copying other guitar players. Johnny and Josh move differently on various tracks. If u wanna talk about copying then you have 10 guys who are original and others are copiers? No way man, its the music that makes those hips bend.
