i just found lunar 1 and 2 complete for ps1 in minty fresh boxes with minimal edge wear with all the goodies still sealed for $35 each at my local retro store i cant wait to play that. i have played the psp version and i burned a copy of the sega cd ones to try

@Serena2009ification I agree 100% - I'm forever annoyed at the lame-ass song that replaced this one in Lunar:SSSC. I know the song is supposed to be more Alex-Luna centric but seriously? It was way too calm compared to this (which shows off how epic this game is).

Back in the day, this song was the JAM, hell, it still is. In fact, I used to love sticking this disk in my CD player and rockin' it.

Thank you for doing this, Lucca. I consider TSS to be the worst version to play through, but it's undeniably the one with the "real" story. There's a reason why all Eternal Blue versions used it as their background. This is probably the only way to get the story to my BF.

I love this game, personally my favorite RPG with Legend Of Dragoon being the 2nd, the intro and plot to the Sega CD is far superior than the Playstation remake but the PS has better battle scheme

I just beat this game. I'm now playing Lunar: SSSC. Personally, I like SSSC better mainly because certain key ideas in the story were more elaborated -- thus compelling more emotive reactions -- but I still enjoyed playing this game.

Pretty soon, once I get a microphone, I'll record my let's play :D

I haven't actually played it, in fact most of the games I watch playthroughs to I haven't played, but I have read a lot about it's plot. More recently, I've started to watch playthroughs to games without reading the plot on wikipedia, though my curiosity kinda got the best of me with Tales of Symphonia.

The Silver Star Story Complete had a number of changes to it, though Eternal Blue Complete stayed more faithful to the original. I feel it was a bit too faithful, since there were some inconsistencies with SSSC.

Too bad the series has gotten any hits since EBC.

You have a nice voice to listen to, that's a good thing for LPs. Although it's kinda scary how much you sound like Nall.

Oh, and I saw on your profile that you're a teacher, which makes sense cuz of how you read all the comments out loud. It's kinda like you're reading us a story.

Thanks a lot for the compliments. Fun fact since you mentioned I sound a little like Nall - Way back a couple of years after the game came out, there was a fandub being made for Lunar: The Silver Star. It never really got anywhere, but I auditioned for the voice of Nall and got it.

Some LPers tend to read all comments out loud. However, in a way now that I think about it I am reading a story, and that's probably why I like RPGs so much. I'm reading a story as I play.

That is EXACTLY why I love RPG games so much. Tekken, soul calibur? All fun games, but none of those truly immerse you into the story, the lore of the game. Final Fantasy, Fire emblem, Lunar, Shining force. With the story that you get to experiance, it's just un-deniably the best gamestyle in existance.

*blush* ^^ Thanks. The game itself doesn't take long to beat, but the 10 minute clip limitation sort of adds time to it. I have fond memories of trying to beat this game in 3 days because I rented it. I did it with and hour to spare before it was due!
