A few years ago I was fortunate enough to find a home for a young orange Maine Coon that would seem like next of kin to this one. Found during a drug raid in Texas, but now in a good home.

@CleanMPGcom Techinically the color is classified as red in both TICA and CFA, but most people outside of breeding and showing call it orange. I have a 6 month old red tabby right now. I tend to wonder if she has maine coon in her linage, but the tests to find out are so expensive.

It's funny to teach the cat to attack the blanket until its summer and the cat attacks your feet through the sheet!

One of my cats would do that and I still have a mark on my leg from where he got me! Lol, he didn't know I was sleeping and it was my foot but when I squeaked from the pain, he knew! Well, not really, I had to shut him out of the room in summer, ha ha.

I know. I used to have two of them. They were the most affectionet things. They were both orange tabbies with silky soft fur. One looked sort of like the one in this video ^_^

They make excellent lap cats, and they make great lap warmers. ^_^

we have a silver tabby and a regular tabby, but both are long haired polydactyl and have lynx tips. i love my kittehs to death. they is so cute!

I still love main coons. They are gourgous and are soo loving. I'd get a main coon, but the last thing I need is anouther cat. I already have too many. When I move out I may get one of them.

My 'Coon does that, too. I call it the "Jackass Jump" because he jumps forward or straight up, does a kick off the wall and lands several feet away. It's stunning. He can also jump from the floor onto my armoire.

For those of you who want a Maine Coon, please check your shelters first. My guy Jack is a Maine Coon mix, but they had pure Maine Coons as well. Please give the homeless kitties a home before going to breeders.
