Many of these pictures are from the 1940's. Detroit had a major riot during the second world war. Obviously these are either from this or elsewhere. Also, I don't recall riots in Saginaw or Pontiac, etc. And I lived in the area at that time. This video sucks if only for it's inaccuracy.

Where I grew up, more then half the population were whites who's grandparents and parents came from the rural south for factory labor at GM or Ford, and I can assure you that a LOT of them were indeed sitting around smoking crack (or meth, or Heroin, ect.) and drawing welfare checks from the Govt. Many of these pictures are from the 1940's. Detroit had a major riot during the second world war. Obviously these are either from this or elsewhere. Also, I don't recall riots in Saginaw or Pontiac, etc. And I lived in the area at that time. This video sucks if only for it's inaccuracy.

When a cop kills a black man or roughs him up...the whole neighborhood witnessed it, but when its the corner pusher, it goes unpunished...usually the other local thugs may know who it is and go get their revenge...a never-ending cycle. Yes, but it happens all the time in these cases that witness who DO try and make a difference are gunned down by said thugs. For you and me as white guys to tell someone else to risk their lives, with insufficient protection, seems extremely disingenuous.
I wouldn't come forward under those circumstances, and I doubt that you would be a martyr.
Lacking non-corrupt and skilled cops in great enough numbers=no justice and sure death for the many folks you would castigate evidently.

America did not give prohibition a chance. My parents were from Detroit. Detroit was a heavy industry town. Lots of hard labour, lots of men in one place, and lots of booze.

who are the people that commit 85% of the crimes today. BLACK PEOPLE. who brought drugs into the urban communities. WHITE PEOPLE. who tore down a prominent black city that was doing well with lawyers and doctors in it(TULSA. )WHITE PEOPLE. who continues to neglect kids in the school system. WHITE GOVERNMENT. whites have done a lot of damage blacks, and blacks are now doin a lot of damage to each other. we both have to feel understanding for one another and uplift the communities.

the detroit area is in the shape that it is in because it is poorly educated, largely white trash, who are intolerant and lazy for the most part. That's why industry has fled from the area, not because of blacks.

I am white, and grew up in the wealthier detroit suburbs, and no longer live in the State, which I am grateful of. I am well educated, and have no tolerance for the hillbillies and white trash who have ruined the state. Yes, there are black people who commit crimes.

I'm sorry. I have to say more. Did the creator just do an image search on Detroit riots and then lift these pictures without checking their context? Just look at some of the cars in these pictures. How many people drove Model A's in 1967? How many people rioted wearing fedoras in 1967?

Blacks had equal housing through subsidies, which was paid by the tax payers. They had job opportunities in the auto industry. Police had to use force to stop anarchy. The blacks had money to gamble, but not for housing huh ? They started it, which is admitted in this video, and were involved in illegal activity.
