To rebuilt your team you need to suck by cock for like 3-4 seasons, draft high, sign them long term and then your in business for a good 10 years.

Look at Washington, Pittsburgh and Chicago. They used to be so pathetic. Ovechkin, Malkin, Backstrom, Toews, Kane, Fleury etc. are all drafted

The problem with the MTL is that we always finished like 8-9-10 in the conference. Not winning cups and not drafting well

@ski4life19 Your assessment of the Flyers isn't fair ski4life19. In the last 20 years, they've only picked in the top 5, 3 times. Ricci 4th overall in 1990, Joni Pitkänen 4th overall 2002 & James van Riemsdyk 2nd overall 2007.

Look at their draft history more closely, Mike Richards 24th overall, Jeff Carter 11th overall, Claude Giroux 22nd overall. I could go on. Like the team or not, they have a history of acquiring great players from the draft, no matter what position they're picking from.
