Typical red neck announcer. I just wonder how he may have ended up commenting basketball ? Unless of course most of his listeners are just as ignorant as he is.
lol but they didn't say anything too offensive you know? c'mon give them a break, the borat comment just shows you that they know something about pop culture plus it was funny
how stupid. First of all, someone who does the games should know everyone on the team. It's not like it's football. They knew where he was from. It was uncalled for. IMO, the guys should get more than one game.
It wasn't offensive until Lawler blurted out, "I guess those Iranians can pass the ball!" Not an appropriate remark to say as if Iranians are handicap to make "back passes." You can project that to any other nationality, ethnicity, or racial class, i.e. "I guess those Chinese can pass the ball!" You just don't say something like that especially when the guy's barely stepped foot in here and is the first from another country to play in the league.
hes probably talking about how the iran olympic team doesnt pass the ball, and apparently it wasnt offensive cuz haddadi didnt have a problem with it, in fact he offered the announcers a gift just to prove it, it was just some dumb viewer who felt like bitching over something stupid
He offered a gift to illustrate his hospitality and "humility" to these culturally insensitive announcers. If it wasn't offensive, the franchise wouldn't have had made them apologize. As I said, their "last" remark was inappropriate however didn't warrant a suspension of any sort. A simple apology would have buried the hatchets. Time to move on...
Nothing offensive here. This is liberal sissyness gone amok as usual. It actually sounded like they were surprised to have an Iranian on the court, which is very rare, and tried to make a joke about it. Where was the offense? "sure it's not Borat's older brother?" Boofrickinghoo, you pc people are whiney pathetic losers.
Most Republican voters don't realize that a successful trade system and Nation Building system in Persian and Muslim countries would actually involve Iranians and Muslims, in fact, moving to the USA.
That's it?

You don't know shit about basketball.
These two are excellent announcers, as I have directv and watch about four games a night, and they are in the upper level of broadcasters.
And those comments were offensive imo, but funny also. It was done in fun imo, but those guys need to be more careful and their apology was sincere.
Move on.
