  • :20, 8x50mm Lebel

  • Hi ,can anybody help me with this:

A few years ago, I found an old .50 BMG cartridge on a public beach, brass cased, marked "SL 42" on the bottom, within 25 miles of Cape Henlopen, Delaware. It had been fired and was rusty. I think that the SL 42 means Spring Labs 1942 but am not sure...can anybody help me with this?

  • @NeoNSPETSNAZ SL stands for St. Louis Ordnance Plant

  • @Drulil

Thanks you...and this is a great video!

  • @Drulil

    *Thank you

  • Mystery round looks too stubby and looks too tapered to be a 7.62x54R. Looks like 8mm Lebel to me.

  • The ammo at 0.18 on the right is lebel Ammo.

You can find it on the internet if you want to know more about it. :P

    Greetings from HOLLAND! Nick

  • @k98100 ok thanks!

  • Those are really neat to look at. I'd rather collect ammo than coins, especially the kind of ammo that you have.

  • @theKGB65 thanks bro

  • the round which you didn't undentify is 7.62x54R

  • i wanna say that round on the right at 0:18 is a 7.92 Kurz used in the StG44 but I can't be certain

  • @graysonator123 no it's much larger then the 7.92x33, which casing is also in the video.

  • nice....
