it says on wiki he's 12-0 in 25 international competition games including 2-0 in the 2006 WBC and that he collects baseball memorabelia like David Wells.
@xBox360iZdaBeZt Hey idiot, MLB had no rule saying the players couldn't take PED's. If you could make millions and break records and it wasn't agaisnt the rules of your job, you would take them also. It's complete brain dead morons like you that are ruining the world with your imbecile logic and idle threats. And why would you want someone to kiss your ass? Are you Queer? I'm thinking so.
omg seriously, do ppl not read comments? I get it that he's actually barry bonds, 4 ppl have replied to me now saying the same thing! I could delete my comment but im curious as to why ppl would keep repeating the same thing. it looks like the rest of the comments r right there with my post
This signing was more than just the amazing stuff Koji has...as seen here! It was about the Orioles transition to opening up their international systems. Koji should be a great start to narrowing the gap that teams such as the red sox, yankees, and mariners have created with japanese players!
Uehara is not the pitcher he once was. Back before his elbow surgeries, he was able to hit the high 140's with his fastball. Now he struggles to reach 145.
yup, san-shin is literally translated as "three strike." A common phrase heard is "karabure san-shin," which literally means "empty swing three strike."
Look at the placement of his pitches, right where the catcher sets up. This is what we need, now we need some solid starters at 3,4 like John Garland and Ben Sheets. With the outfield of Markakis, Jones, and Pie these pitchers have help. The middle looks good too, Wieters, Roberts, Izturis. I'd like to see Nomar at first maybe. Orioles magic is coming back.
I think Hennessey is a great pick for #4, with Guthrie and Koji locking down 1 and 2. Rich Hill looks like he's gonna be the #3 which leaves the #5 spot open for anyone...I think Liz is just really raw....I'd like to see Arietta or Tillman play in the big leagues this year...
I can't believe they haven't gone after Garland or Sheets, or both for that matter. Chris Waters looked good last year but he needs more developing but Hayden Penn should be ready if Matt Albers and Jim Johnson stay in the bullpen. Johnson would be a good number 4 guy.
All that money the Sox and Yanks spend got them 2nd and 3rd place. I hope these pitching prospects develop properly and we have a dominating rotation and decent bullpen, the infield is there now and the outfield is all star quality, this team will be great in a year or two.
Why is this commented down to -4? The guy is a 34yo RHP who was converted to a relief role for a year in 2007 after two losing seasons, and then demoted to a farm team in 2008.
Apparently there is no place for realism amongst fans.

That's because it -is- Barry Bonds. That footage is from Game 2 of the Japan All-Star series. Bonds struck out 3 times to Uehara.

Today against the Marlins: 5 IP, 2 R
if they pitch hm that long in Spring Training, they must really be considering it.

A reason for me to be happy. Koji should fit in nice with the O's. Still need another 2 starters to fill the roster.

He was really good like Dice-K some years ago but his prime time was past.He threw 95,96 before but now I think 88-90.
I think if he did bullpen he still can throw 95-98.
