The watermelons are sooooo cute, I mean cool, they are cool! I am also pushing the time limits, but with pumpkins. They are just now starting to put out female flowers, and I am not sure, if there is enough time before the first frost. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

@GardenMatreshka I've got some pumpkins growing as well and like you have been waiting forever it seems like for the female flowers. The bees are finally here, but then our weather turned hot again and has been pushing the 100 degree mark for almost a week now, (thats 10+ over our normal time for this year)...crazy weather! Never heard of spurge. Gonna have to do some investigating. :-)

@mhpgardener lol, your gonna find it says that it's very invasive and actually poisonous! However, a few master gardeners I've talked to said I don't have to worry about it contaminating anything I grow with it, so for now I use it to bring in the lizards and other beneficial critters and plan on using it as a "live" mulch by top dressing compost over it when I want to. The problem is that it looks so good I can't bring myself to cover it up with dirt, lol.
