You know...thing thing that always amazes me about the internet is that people can take a video of a tragic incident such as this, and turn it into an ignorant, nationalistic history lesson by people who have absolutely NO idea on what they're arguing about. One thing I want to point out is when pilots ejected. They did when the plane was almost hitting the ground. It tells me a lot about them they try to do everything until the very last moment.Watch our fighters crash and you will see pilots eject almost immidiatly
Thats because he was trying to get the plane away from the crow.. Obviously he couldn't so when the left wing hit the ground he ejected.... It was not his fault it was engine failure
If you see it closely you will notice that as he puts the nose down the engine sound on the tape stops and the Line of smoke disappear.. then a few seconds later the engine came back to life and the smoke and sound reappear... Obviously he did everything he could to crash away from the crowd.. thats why it took him so long to eject... I really don't think that he should serve 18 years in prison

You know...thing thing that always amazes me about the internet is that people can take a video of a tragic incident such as this, and turn it into an ignorant, nationalistic history lesson by people who have absolutely NO idea on what they're arguing about. The unedited video of the aftermath is horrific, and I regret watching it. Watch at your own risk.

According to the experts the accident causes were: pilot error, engine failure, violation of flight safety rules by crew or ground co-ordinator, improper flight plan (particularly mistaken correlation between the display and spectators' zones), overfueling the plane (causing the Su-27 to become heavier and less agile than the pilots were used to when performing displays).
Only the pilots took the rap for all this mess.....

the two pilots arent all to blame..watch some of the other vids...I cant remeber the name of what they are doing but its a basic menuever. during the leveling out maybe 200 feet off the ground the plane suddenly sinks downward.

Hey cris7yerly...the Blue Angels are US Navy and Us Marines. smart ass, the U.S. Thunderbirds are Air Force. They have not crashed since about 1995. its 2007. Also, to say we have not won a war is stupid. Vietnam:neither side won Desert Storm:we won. and we have won the little shit off wars too.

Desert storm was not a war it was a mission.. stupid. and do some researh.. try this "Beaufort South Carolina -Blue Angels #6 Crash. also try this "USS Forestal Mishap July 29, 1967" accidents happen. And I still say that the USAF nad navy is one of the best in the world. and NO the US has never won a war since war world 2..

Damn those people saw the plane coming right at them.. and they just stood there. they ran only wen they saw the pilot ejecting.. And to say that the Russian air force sucks is just stupid. am sure that if you search for Blue angels crashes and sure you will find lots.. Like I did.. But to say that an entire air force sucks based on one accident is just stupid..

uh, there have been plenty of su-27 crashes like this. so maybe the russian air force does suck if that's your standard. also blue angels are part of the navy, and there are plenty of missiles developed to kill warships in one hit.

You dont even know your own history.. The missile was an Air-to-air missile and it was accidentally fire by and AMERICAN plane that was taxing for take-off and it did destroyed the aircraft carrier.. should I say that all american pilots NO. try this ""USS Forestal Mishap July 29, 1967" it doesnt matter if if the Navy it is still american. One thing I want to point out is when pilots ejected. They did when the plane was almost hitting the ground. It tells me a lot about them they try to do everything until the very last moment.Watch our fighters crash and you will see pilots eject almost immidiatly

Thats because he was trying to get the plane away from the crow.. Obviously he couldn't so when the left wing hit the ground he ejected.... It was not his fault it was engine failure

If you see it closely you will notice that as he puts the nose down the engine sound on the tape stops and the Line of smoke disappear.. then a few seconds later the engine came back to life and the smoke and sound reappear... Obviously he did everything he could to crash away from the crowd.. thats why it took him so long to eject... I really don't think that he should serve 18 years in prison

Also, i have re-searched the Mig-35. I will say that is a bad fighter and im glad Russia has caught back up with the rest of the world. The F/A-22 Raptor is still a badass plane and its not old. Britain has been very greatful to the U.S. so ill stop with that.

Here lets do this fedaks...we both have are opinions on who has the best AF and Fighters. I think the F/A-22 Raptor and the F-35 Lighting 2 are the best. You think the Eurofighter Typoon, and the Mig-35 are the best. China's in it to but I don't really care about them.

Also fedaks: Yeah Russia has been counted as one of the best AF in the world..but not ne more. If u research Israeli has the best but America has the most pilots, manned aircraft, and best Technologically advanced AF in the world. Russia..not even close to the top.
