I personally found My Hands to be a better song mostly because it was unique. To be honest I felt the English voices were pretty damned good, though I would've loved to have the Japanese language as option as well (i usually prefer all my japanese things to be in japanese haha). However this song is really lovely and it's too bad that this song itself didn't get carried to the US version. :\

I mean their culture is so fascinating, the cartoons (anime) are rockin, the dramas keep you hooked, the games are so good that they reach the other side of the Earth, & their music is extremely touching .
WTF is the point of being racist, im from the USA, and going to Japan was one of the best experiences of my life, the people I met were Warm, Proud, and Humble. I have so many friends from different cultures than my own, and I have learned how to live my life better accepting people and opening myself to them and their ideals, not getting mad at them for not being like me. racism is one of the biggest wastes of energy there will ever be, hands down.
Japanese people.......No people in general need to know they can trust you. Just because they don't "let you in" it doesn't mean that they don't like you. They just want to know if they can trust you first. And people almost always stereotype them. It's no wonder they are on their guard. People just want to know if you are genuinely polite. There is nothing wrong with Leona Lewis' My Hands but couldn't Square Enix do what they with Kingdom Hearts 2 Theme and create an English version, because there is nothing wrong with this song. It's really good actually.

@oochyjuan you can blame Xbox for that due to the fact that Xbox bought FFXIII and thier Disc cant hold too much memories if it was just on the the ps3 then yes we could have got the Dual Voice Option beside that you can always play the japanese version
Final Fantasy XIII... a brilliant addition to this long running franchise... Although the game runs slightly linear, but the story, the characters... They are all I cared so much for when I beat the game... It is to my opinion the perfect if not one of the best FF installment ever :D

The problem was that it was too linear. People say "The game opens up when you get to Gran Pulse". Thats a blatant lie.
When you get to Pulse, you can't compete with the monsters - period. Their are a few you can take but by and large you're going to be better of avoiding anything and everything until you get to the underground caves.
You can come BACK to pulse near the end of the game and beat up on everything then, but its not really fun at that point

I don't think this is the "main" theme of the game. Sure, it plays at the end of the game when you beat the final boss, but doesn't that make it the ending theme? I believe the song at the main menu is the main theme of Final Fantasy XIII, because I hear that same rhythm in a bunch of songs throughout the game. And I'm not talking about Blinded by Light either. Excuse me if someone made this point earlier.

@thanzinho88 They tried to translate the song into English, like they did with the Kingdom Hearts songs, but it took too long to record and it never made the deadline for the American release date, so they borrowed Leona Lewis' song to fill in the gap. Leona's one means lil bit different from the story of the game, but this song matches completely in terms of the meaning of the song.
everything in japanese with subtitle would be so much better in everything like games, movies, etc..

Why can't anything about Japan or Japan related on youtube for once not be marred by stupid comments not even related to the video? Honestly, who gave the voice of Japanese opinion a 15 year old. If people want to help Japan, that's fantastic. If they don't then so be it. There's no need for rebuking or insulting people you've never met. For somebody who claims to know somebody about Japan, you sure know little of a character which Japanese people value above all else: respect.

There are some American singers who don't use/used Auto-tone. Micheal Jackson was one. There are many more but I don't have the time to list them.
Also, there are people who are American and sing well without Auto-tone. There are some that are on YouTube now!
katethegreat19 does covers of songs from Final Fantasy games and she sounds great!
