i was in shock when i watch this the first time. I really trought NO WAY,Danny cant die however i know from the beginning that evelyn and rafe are surpose to be together but not on a way like this? He said that no Army Air Corps Airman that was in the raid was killed in an actual gun battle with Japanese forces. 8 Airmen died when they were captured and sentenced to death by Jap forces. The Japanese Army killed an estemated 250,000 Chinese civillians while searching for the downed aircraft. I like this movie, but I HATE the sappy, standard, shitty love story.

However what is different from your story is that I was there when it happened and saw that insurgent. I could have killed him but my innocence took over and I called in for air support. The last memory of my friend is me trying to get him out of the cockpit as bombs were dropped. I will never forgive myself for that.
