Wow...when I was in 2nd grade our teacher had us play this game, one rainy day inside the classroom. There were several 'game' stations to choose from, from card games to board games to other things. She must have added stuff to the game, cause the reward for winning the game was to wear a tiara and a feather boa and wand, till you lost the next game then you were out and others got to play it. Unfortunately for me, I had never played the game before and it was too crowded and not enough time

Yeah, my nephews really enjoy playing games simply because they like the theme. Most don't have any challenge or strategy, I might as well give all players a number and run a random number generator and whoever has the number that comes up wins. yay. But yeah, if the kids enjoy the theme and they like it when someone gets sent up a ladder and someone else slides down a snake and that makes them happy, then I'll play it with them.

Thanks for all the reviews. In your Grab Bag review a while back you mentioned that there were pigs on the tokens and didn't see the connection. I'm guessing it is an allusion to "pig in a poke" the pig in a bag which was an unknown entity until after it was purchased.

I cheated at candyland when I was 8 or something, I snuck the sugarland princess at the top of the deck and my dad, to this day, has not played another game of it with me.
