nice video plz tell me in which format should i save it so that i could download in mobile am saving it in GIF and downloading it in mobile but i cant see animation in mobile .
Thanks, MattyBoy! Beautiful language, and easy to follow for an animation novice. I am tempted to ask you (cos I havent been able to find out on my own): how do I save it, including the "forever" loop...?
Thanks for your comment. You can save as a PSD if you want to come back to edit it, or a GIF if you want to display the graphic on the web etc. If you want more information, go to my website which has an extended version of this video. Hope that helps.
@PochamaThePiplup make me shut up SUCKER! Not ONLY you fail to recognize accents but ALSO you are so fuckin dumb u cant click his profile and see where is he from...
Thanks mate, tat was very helpful. I wanna know how to open the optimize palette because i am using adobe photoshop cs5 but i can't get the palette. can you tell me how to get it. It's also not under the windows tab either.
For some reason, when I try to make an animation, all the slides will become whatever slide I edited. If I draw a line, all of the slides have that line. If I erase something, its erased in all of them. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for this helpfull tutorial. I will look for more of you. This time i didnt have to play it over and over to listen carefully and understanding it all,.... ;-}
I have photoshop CS2 i think and have created an animation using image ready but when i try to export it using flash, a box comes up saying "could not complete this operation. An unknown error has occured." What am i doing wrong? help!
I have to ask w I have done, haha! Well, in the beginning everything went well, but, when I wanted to make my secound ne i can't chane the time ( you know the time for how many seconds every fe will be shown..) o you know what fault I have done?
hi matt, the propagate was not highlighted because the layer was a background so i changed it to a layer then i was able to switch the propagate on and off but still does the same thing. does it matter what format the picture is in? thanks for getting back to me.
hi matt, great video's...im trying to do this with an image already made but when i duplicate selected frame it duplicates but every time i change the picture it changes all of them...if u know wot i mean?? can u help?
hi, thanks for the video, really helped :) just 1 question is it possible to save animation in .bmp? if so than how? :(.. you know that i could use it for avatars and such :)
I tryed tweening, with a circle- I made the two frames, on opposite sides, the same size and shape, and then I clicked the tweening button, clicked all layers, and clicked motion. I set it to 5 extra frames. It made 5 middle frames, but they are all the same as the first. NO change? Do you think you know whats wrong?(and i selected the two i wanted to tween)
The lines under the horizontal top on the T represent streams of tears. x3
Also, I've been having the same issue as a few people who've commented. Both frames change when I'm only editing the second. Propagate's turned off, but it still happens.
but uh, how do I have 2 different files opened at the same time? Because everytime I open a new image for the animation, my old image would disappear...
Sounds like when you're opening a new image it's opening over the top of the previous one. Go to Windown>Cascade or press the letter F on the keyboard to scroll through the various screen modes. You can also use CTRL + TAB to scroll through the open images.
yes! thanks matty, your tutorial is so much simpler to follow along instead of the others that just speed through the process like we on speed/crack...thanks much!
gr8 i did it thanks.. i went to a shop to buy image ready but yes.. its in the photoshop i realized it after a bought the cd with the photoshop plugins for 20 f*** euros which i cant open ha ha :P so yea thanks :P one more thing.. i wana make the size of the gif smaller cas its like 2.9mb:/ i did the quality of the photos to 0 and they were about 175kb each but all together in the gif are 2.9Mb is there a way to make it smaller rather than zip it?
i cant save it.. i have to have imageready to save it? and 1 more thing.. how can i open the optimaze menu? i cant find it in windows.. maybe cas i have CS3?
hey i was wonderin can i use 2 different images 2 create my animation for exapmle a man standin wid animation of lighting comin out of his hands) if dat is possible can u tell me how plz btw nice tutorials helps alot
Yes, select the two frames you'd like to apply a crossfade to, then press the tweening button. Add the desired amount of frames to make the transition smooth and you're done. There's more info on tweening on the full version of this video available for free on the 3photoshop website.
Add a layer to the bottom of the layers palette and fill with the colour of your choice, you can then play around with individual frames by selecting them and turning the new layer on or off with the eyeball control in the layers palette.
I remember doing these sort of things back in the day. Totally forgot about animation in Photoshop.

i edited the file using adobephotoshop 6.0
i then made it an animation with adobe image ready.
i want to export this file to make it a GIF. the export font is grey and unclickable. (you know, the dreaded unavailiable font)
the only saving option is photoshop PSD
HOWEVER
there is a little bar under my window for my animation that says
84.3k/13.7k GIF
does that mean its already a GIF?
if not, how do i export it to become one?
if not, i cant export it
