please help!!! my dell inspiron E1505 doesnt recognise hd i put osx onto. it has 2 partitions, the hackintosh that doesnt load, and an osx lion partition. deleting lion is not an option, as i have almost all of my stuff there, and not on my real snow leopard

PLEASE someone who has done this help sort this out. After I have clicked New Image in the Disk Utility toolbar and Chosen where I want to save it ( when turning thumb drive into a Snow Leopard Install drive bit) then it starts to load but after a few minutes it comes up with an input output error message and this has happened several times. I'm wondering could it be the devise I'm using to create the leopard install on its a 32 GB I pod being used on a mac were i tunes is deleted.  Thanks

I made from my pc a Mac, without an other Mac actually. You can download some MAC images for vmware, with that you can do the Mac part

Ich habe gerade versucht ein image/dmg über Wiederherstellen im Festplattendienstprogramm in eine Partition zu schreiben und bekam folgende Fehlermeldung:

“Fehler beim Wiederherstellen

Es wurden keine Scan-Informationen gefunden. Für die Wiederherstellung muss ein Imagescan/Scan des Quell-Images durchgeführt werden.”

Die Lösung ist einfach: Im Festplattendienstprogramm Images > Images für das Wiederherstellen prüfen auswählen, etwas rechnen lassen fertig. Das Image kann jetzt erstellt werden

I installed SL months ago with this video and instruction from the "Install Snow Leopard on Your Hackintosh PC, No Hacking Required". Works like a charm i've installed all the top software's for mac and they all work like a charm. only with final cut i had to delete the network connection and re-install because it needed to have a "0" address for the network card in order to work.

@laabar1996 Try iDeneb. Install on your PC(You have to make UNALLOCATED DISK SPACE. 10 GB. And For Snow Leopard, as much as you want :D. then in Disk Utility make the unallocated space to Mac Extended(Journaled) for iDeneb AND Snow). Then make the things shown in this vid

try booting into verbose and see what it stops at. not sure of the command i think you have to type -v then press enter after hitting F8 before the boot

On your USB stick creation everything seems ok, BUT, you have to verify the image before creating the stick...

Disk Utility don't let you restore before doing that...

EASY WAY: Install EMPIRE EFI.. Wait until the Darth Vader shows.. then insert the RETAIL, not bootlegged copy of snowleopard and you are good to go.

i tried this on my Radisys LG-95 intel celeron duo core processor, with leo4allv2 installed with extra partition for snow, and when restored the dmg and installed the stellora bootloader i got this error when booting : Boot0: GPT boot0: testing

are you referring to splitting your hard drive in 2? if so, you do something called PARTITIONING, you open up DISC UTILITY,>select YOUR HARD DRIVE> select PARTITION> select how many pieces you want to split you hard drive into, there is a drop down window to the right of DISCUTIL. >then,give size of each partition you want, example: 1 part is 50 gig, 2nd part is 150gb, or whatever you want. next, go to OPTIONS, select GUID PARTITION> next, select OK OR PARTITION, thats it. or loon on utube forit

In this it says for the MSI platimun 45 series mainboards, yet on the site downloads the package is for a gigiabyte board which is now EOL.

What am i doing wrong? Is there a specific package? Can any mainboard be used as long as the chipsets are the same?
