  • unrestricted means you cant speed....

  • Tacho scheint ja sehr genau zu gehen! Hat ja fast keine Voreilung, wie das aussieht.

  • @007Realist

Sorry, I don't speak German that well. I think you mean that the speedometer is pretty accurate. It sure is!

  • los autos moderno no me gustan para nada,,, cada vez se parecen mas a 4x4 , y las 4x4 parecen camiones.....

me gustan mas los autos de los 90 como el escort, un auto que no tiene el capo deformado y es plano,

  • @1414Romek

I'm Dutch. So I have absolutely no idea what you're saying ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @GTIracerr I like most of the 90 cars, the cars now come with the boss out and very plastic deformed .... and seem more 4x4,

  • @GTIracerr but I like the Ford Escort car''the''90's, but also appreciate the focus 1 which was very nice ... is a personal opinion. The bonnet of the car I tell you that I drive a capo focus 2 and it has very high for what is the plate of the car and that will complicate the vision at the time of going on the road ... you have to go by calculating the distance that the boss does not see everything but a part of the medium.

  • @GTIracerr He is saying that is doesnt like modern cars because they look like the 4x4 and that 4x4 look like trucks lool, he likes 90's cars like the Escort that has flat bonnet loool wtf weird right? lool

  • Wheres the engine noises?

  • @ASS3464

Haha. Beautifull isn't it? In sixth gear, at those speeds, there just hardly is any engine noise!

Only in fifth you can hear clearly. The RPM's in sixth are relatively low for the speed that's being driven. :)

  • @GTIracerr

I meant its too quiet, I'm used to deafening roars.

  • @ASS3464

Allright, then the Focus Ecoboost definately isn't the right car for you! ;)

Maybe if you cut of the exhaust it will be deafening. Haha.

  • 4k RPM? What gear were you using?

  • @sangolt88

She was in sixth at 200 km/h!

It's a six speed manual transmission.

  • very good 12.7 km/l

  • @vincenzohdi

It's even better now. It says 13.0 km/l. I don't drive that many long distances so this consumption is pretty nice. With highway kilometers only, 15 - 17 km/l isn't a problem!

  • @MrInspireless

Yes the car is very quiet! The German Autobahn is a blast to drive on. People pay much more attention to what they're doing. And you get to your destination a lot quicker!

I will make a video of the car's interior at normal speeds within a few days. Feel free to come back and check that one out!

    Thanks for your comment! :)

  • @GTIracerr

could you please tell me how quiet the car is compared to an german car (Audi A3, Golf, BMW 1 etc.) ?

and how is the comfort compared to them?

  • @fluffyman15

I work at a BMW dealership so I think I can help you with that.

Compared to the previous model 1 serie the Focus is much quieter. In the new 1-serie the difference isn't as big anymore but still the Focus wins. A 3-serie, without the stif suspension (M package for example) the 3-serie is quite simular, but the driving position is lower. It also has better comfort, you need at least a 5-serie to get to the level of comfort of the Focus. It's all about personal preferences!

  • @GTIracerr

Thank you very much for the quick reply!

I really like the looks of the focus, and thats even better to hear. I think the Focus will be my next car than :)

  • @fluffyman15

A3 is the oldest in this comparsion, so yes the noisiest too! BMW is very quiet car if you buy with one of the petrol engines, but with a diesel is much louder than u expect from a german premium car. Golf is the best in this category, but Focus has developed last of this comparsion. So it has the best noise filter. To be honest Focus is a good car, but Golf still, and BMW1 is much better car than the Ford.

  • @killer576

    thanks! :)

  • 1.6 liter for ALMOST 200 Km/h?

    :)

Epic...! My 1,4 Liter making just 75hp can do 190 in GPS with 17"s.

  • @xenoo4life

200 km/h isn't the actual top speed of the car. 200 was all that was possible that day. The car can go faster! And, I don't know what kind of car you drive but weight, mileage etc. are all factors that should be taken in account. There are numerous video's on Youtube of this engine, with this power, where 220 km/h is reached. Above 200 km/h you need lots of power to gain a few kilometres. Law of physics!

Thanks for the comment and have fun with your car!!

  • @GTIracerr I don't want to say what car I drive because I may start Flamwars or you may think I just wanna hate, but that was possible that day? So what day is 220 possible? A day when the wind is on our side?

    That sounds awful!

My car btw is 13 years old and has 151.000 kms. And Weight is not such a factor at High Speeds.. as Aerodynamics are...

220 isn't fast either...! My firend's car uses a 1,6 Liter, is 20 years old has 150K, and can achieve ACTUAL speed of 245 KM/h. (STOCK Engine)

  • @xenoo4life

I don't think you wanna hate. 220 km/h is possible on a day when road safety allows me to drive those speeds.

I've never ever said anywhere that my car is really fast and if it's your opinion that it's slow for a 1.6 then that's fine by me! :)

I personally don't think that most 1.6 cars achieve speeds of 245 km/h but I'm glad your friends car can :)

And actually, I couldn't care less if my car reaches 220 or not. :) It's more than fast enough for my purposes!

  • @GTIracerr I agree 100% that it may be even faster than you need, but this is a speeding video in the first place so the only thing I can comment on is the speed of the car. That being said, yes my opinion is that its slow enough.

Other than than its a nice car overall.

PS. Many 1,6 reach ridiculous speeds! You just need a good engine...!

Some 1,6 engines turned out to be more than just fast.

  • @xenoo4life

I rest my case. Have fun with your car!

  • @xenoo4life

And what car does your friend drive then..? Because 245 with a 1.6 stock engine in a 20 year old car, sounds unlikely.. unless it's some kind of (semi) sports car.

  • @Ondernemingskamer Never mind.

  • @xenoo4life

I do mind.. I'm just asking for the car.. I'm curious, because I'm wondering what family car from 1991 with 1.6L engine, runs 245 km/h stock. You are comparing engines and saying 220 isn't fast. I think it is very fast for a family car with a 1.6L (turbo) engine. Of course, you can reach higher speeds with a 1.6L engine, even from 20 years back, but it depends on the engine's configuration and it depends on the car itself. So for a fair comparison I'm just asking for the car..

  • @Ondernemingskamer My Friend Drives a Honda, which at that time made 160 Horse Power WITHOUT the use of a Turbo, and the next year it made 170 Horse Power. at 1996, it made 185 Horse Power...

Another friend of mine owns a Toyota, and his 4AGE engine produces 170 Horses... again without the use of a Turbocharger.

    are you happy now?

  • @xenoo4life well we see the car you drive and I have the 1.6 liter with 17 inch rims and the best I can get is 205kms.

  • Does it reach top speed in 5th because in 6th it seems like it has enough available rev left for 300km/h+ but it would take more than 150hp to reach that speed.

Is 6th a low revving fuel efficient gear for medium-high speeds on flat ground?

  • @TimpBizkit

It should be able to reach 210 km/h. That's what Ford claims.

With 200 km/h in 6th gear the car feels like it's nearing it's top speed. The acceleration from 200 km/h to higher speed takes several kilometers.

In 5th gear the engine revs up tot about 5200 rpm and runs like an atmospheric engine. So it's better to find the top speed while in 5th. Then the engine screams pretty loud and that's why we kept it in 6th.

6th gear acceleration at lower speed is excellent!

  • @GTIracerr some cars reach a higher top speed in one gear from the top, particularly with high gear ratios on a low powered engine, as it revs more/makes more power. Yes it consumes more fuel and is more demanding on the engine.

In a race, gears this high are useless, but in a road car, they are good as at normal driving speeds, they stop energy wasted by revving higher than needed, and keep engine friction down.

  • I rode in an Ultima GTR that was a race car and geared too short for cruising. It had a 7 litre 640 horsepower V8, but was geared for about 2300 rpm at 60 mph in top gear. I bet if you stomped on the gas even in top, it would be off like a rocket, and you'd feel a braking sensation from letting off the gas. That's one of the reasons even a tiny car only got 22mpg, (unless you kept shifting it in and out of gear.) Corvettes have a similar engine but have a higher top gear and better mileage.

  • @TimpBizkit

Yes I'm aware of gear ratio's and other factores. When you want to make the most out of this (relatively) small Ecoboost you'd better keep it in 5th gear. Maybe we'll try that next time. She's now just over 6200 kilometers (almost 4000 miles) and has an average fuel economy of around 12.8 km/liter. (just over 30 MPG). Mostly on trips less than 10 kilometers (6 miles) so I'm pretty satisfied with the cars overall performance!

  • I test-drived this engine and it's amazing. I'll probably buy this car in a few months. Great video!

  • @adyandon

Thanks. It sure is a great car. A splendid cruiser. Have fun with customizing your car!
