  • Hallo Velma. I love your flowers!!! Im living in Sweden and have started crafting, and I'm so in love with it:)) Could you tell me what colours you use?

Thank you so much for sharing.

  • @nylyckan1 Thank you for your sweet comment. I use the "glimmer mist" by Tattered Angels. My favorite colors are: Tattered Leather, Coffee Shop, Creme De Cocoa, Suede, Mimosa, Sweet Pea, Mustard, Olive Vine, Spanish Moss, Vintage Pink, Sweet Pea, Tattered Rose, and the list goes on. I love all the reds as well as all the rust/orange colors. Have fun with your crafting. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask anytime. I hope this helps. Hugs from CA. Velma...Sweden is lovely!

  • thanks for sharing! Very pretty flowers!

  • I keep hearing about your flowers...what's your number one favorite product to use?

  • @TheScrappingMomma I have to say flowers!!! And I just viewed your video using the melting pot. Your flowers came out beautiful! I know I do mine by hand, cause I love doing it that way, but one day, I try it with the pot.

  • What kind of flowers do you use??

    TFS!!

    ;0)

  • @janobiki trying to email you but "error" keeps popping up

  • Can you do paper flowers in the utee melting pot?

  • @tuffytuffers Yes you can. I haven't tried it, but there are some videos on it. Natalie Bromsalie, search her name on youtube. It looks really fun. I loved putting UTee on chipboad, etc,, so one day I tried it on flowers and I was hooked. I just feel I have better control on how much UTEE I want on them. Have fun! Velma

  • Hi Velma! The flowers are fine today! Don't know why they felt oily yesterday!!! I used VersaMark and UTEE. If you saw me doing this you would laugh yourself silly. I'm always scared of starting a fire with the heat thingy. I placed the flowers in the lid of an old pot and held the handle with one hand and heated with the other.... ;o)

    Hugs,

    Linda

  • @babubee In a pot? What a great idea! Everyone is asking me why I did the flowers outside..........I did it because it was for the video, so everyone could see the details of what I was doing, also in the garage. Doing it in a box for a video, no one would have been able to see inside the box. I just emailed a bunch of gals explaining it. I'm glad your flowers are good today! Hugs, Velma

  • Hi there! I finally made these flowers. They came out great, but they have this oily feeling coat on them.....can't figure out why. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hugs, Linda

  • @babubee Hi Linda...Oil feeling? What kind of embossing powder are you using? And the versamark ink... ink, is that what you're using too? Thats the ink I use~ I've tried the Ranger one by Timmy H. and I didn't care for it. Hugs, Velma

  • Yay, I found "the" Velma!!!!! I see why everyone talks about your flowers....they are stunning! Thanks for sharing your technique!

  • I've been watching videos and hearing about Velma's flowers...and found you! :c)

How sweet of you to show us and go to the troule! I'm off to the next video...lol :c)

  • The story behind this video is this: I don't do videos - at all. Because everyone has been so wonderful to me, I was determined to share with them this flower thingy I love to do. My camera said I had 70 minutes to film. So there I was, taking my time, showed all this scrappy stuff, did the flowers, it was great...Until.....I realized it took hours to upload to u-tube, then come to find out, u-tube dropped it cause it was too long. So, I did like 6 videos trying to keep it under 10 mins.

  • Velma, I am loving this so far! Gorgeous flowers! You di da great job with the video, so who know, you just might be doing more!

    Hooray for GGS Sistahs!-

    Hugs- Joyce
