did u happen to read the context and historical background of the verse? did u happen to read the whole quran and put that verse into context? They're back to the stone age already but the problem is they just don't like getting bombed and killed by our drones.

The big problem here is if the Taliban is powerful enough to topple the Pakistan government, we'll be in deep, deep doodoo. The Taliban and probably also Al Queda will then have access to nuclear weapons.

The resolution to this is what the US government has been saying for some time. Wake up Pakistan, the Taliban is enemy #1 to you, too. Duh!
