I think I would have enjoyed this more if I wasn't so familiar with Ibsen's epic play. It was a brave (if slightly insane) attempt to stage the unstageable but didn't quite succeed. However, with character development that rapid, Andrew Scott dealt admirably with an impossible task; he couldn't have done any more to effectively portray Julian's changing nature as even 3+ hours wasn't nearly enough. I'd love to have seen what this impressive actor could've done with ALL the text to work from.
I can't get over this show. I can't stop thinking about it. I saw it in London right before my semester got over and I came back to America and I am dying to just see it again!
