  • you passed the missing man formation cause you was to busy worried about the one in afterburner this vid completly defeats the purpose.

  • i get goosebumps and teary eyed whenever i see this

  • @gonegeese That means you are a good person :-) When the pilot breaks away and flies up to say goodbye for us all one last time.. I break down myself COMPLETELY.

  • I remember that, it was awesome..I watched it from work off of Alpine.

  • Next time follow the formation, not the "missing man"

  • What is the meaning of this ?is it a symbol of missing man goes to heaven ???

  • Basically. It's a way of honoring the individual who has passed.

  • @aberhan78 actually in ww2 the bomber pilots when they were coming back to base they would fly this formation when an aircraft was shot down, thats where the tradition started

  • @aberhan78 Murderers dont go to heaven my friend. Especially when the murderer never sees the face of his victim.

  • Greatest country on Earth! Thank you for this reminder of those that have sacrificed to keep it that way. You will always be remembered ...

  • wow, amazing.

    Beautifull !

  • I remember this!

  • thats like a whole strike force

  • I was there that day. Still think it was the most military planes for a fly-over ever done.

  • Nope, if you've seen the Reagan flyover, they were about the same. The Reagan flyover, though, had tighter formations.

  • By my count, that was 21 planes, I've seen a video on youtube with, I think it was 29 planes.. I'll try and find it.

  • Okay, correction, found the video, was only 22 planes. Found 2 vids of it, :

    watch?v=01282nOzfmk

    watch?v=8F00hSy8wgI

  • Its standard

  • Hot shit look at that after burner. Damn that's sexy haha.

  • I went golfing on this day, yes, golfing in January, It was nice on this day, probably 50 degrees, and seeing the planes fly over us on the highway home. Pretty cool.

  • I went to play tennis...jaja...on that park in front of the wyoming police station...yeah it was a nice day...

  • I remember watching these planes fly over my house on the way to GR on that day! Quite a sight.

  • Great job on the video!! So proud to have some one like Ford come from our mid west city.

  • i remember exactly what i was doing.. i was standing working at payless on alpine and closed the store so i could stand out side and watch it .. beautiful.. even cars stopped ot watch such a beautiful day to!!

  • pow mia you are not forgotten god bless america

  • @fuckbush009 god bless canadian war vets/kia/mia too.

  • it's pretty cool see all you guy's comments on this video, i work on these jets everyday. it's awesome to see that everyone enjoyed it! makes my day!

  • I wasn't there but I could see the plans from my backyard.

  • Wow.

I was there - and cried when they flew over.

  • no shame in that.

  • i remember this i watched this there,it was really cool.

  • eltorrente - Too bad I did the best I could. Where is your video of the flyover? Oh thats right you don't have one.

  • That's right, but I watched one of the good ones- shot by people that knew what a missing man formation was and were actually trying to film it. :D

  • I was actually working in the Varnum/Bridgewater place building when they flew over, so I never actually got to see them.

  • so cool- what a great way to honor someone

  • Great shot camera man. Felt like I was there, back at home in G.R.

  • so cool

  • I was on alpine by Meijer when they few over and they were flying pretty low there. Was a great thing to see.

  • Yea I was pretty much underneath them. Wish I could have been in two places at once and seen them from a different perspective also. I was thinking a good place might have been the old Cracker Barrel off of Alpine.

  • Yep. I'm sure there is a set altitude that is considered perfect for tributes and safety over a large city.

  • Excellent vid! This is one of the better ones i've seen. I got to see them practice for a few hours south of GR near my house in Hopkins. It was really cool! Would have been nice to see them fly downtown too!

  • Thanks. Yea it was quite incredible, the people, the planes, the sound, the flyover, the cheering, and finally the sunset all made for an amazing minute and a half.

  • tight i live on 6th st, i recognized the place you were standin

  • Yea I seemed to have picked a good spot, I was surprised at how many people were there.

  • tight

  • Yea I mean there will probably never be 21 F-15 Jets flying right over downtown GR. Did you get a video?

  • Excellent footage, Standing on the 6th St bridge, you were far enough north to capture the magnitude of the final jet.

  • Yep, you are correct I was on the 6th st. bridge. Was pretty sweet will probably never happen again in downtown GR.

  • cool ty for you post
