I never knew that merle did this song, I first heard it through Joe Nichols. Every time I heard to joe's version I thought it sounded like a Haggard tune. My 2 fav's are Haggard and Strait, I'm hear to tell you Joe Nichols is a cross between the two. Listen to some of the stuff he hasn't released. If you like Hag and Strait, you'll like Joe. BTW Hag is great!
