Rollkur and low deep and round is not the same thing. Now I am definitely not saying some people don't lie and say they use the LDR technique when indeed they are using Rollkur, but LDR, when used CORRECTLY and during short amounts of time do not harm the horse. Sadly, too many people see professionals using LDR and start doing it at home, without even knowing the difference between LDR and Rollkur.
Super Video :-) Ich verstehe nicht, wie man das seinem Pferd antun kann . Pferde sollen doch Freund und Partner in Sport und Freizeit sein und keine Sportgeräte!
@horse332 It was under anesthesia. That is actually the least strenuous way to move a horse to an operating table. I'm expecting the real movie shows that they are having to fix something on the horses neck from hyperflexion.
@horse332 It wasn't a slaughter house :| They don't "Drain blood" like that. They hang them by a leg and cut their throat, that's how they "bleed them out".
very good info...going to check out more info...I love to let my guy travel how he wants. Basic dressage cannot hurt...low and long allows him to stretch...I dont know what is right, but it seems any over flexsion or over excersion is not good for anyone longterm.....all that being said...rock on Zenyatta!! one more...you can do it!!
@raquazalmj The horse is not dead, they put him under anesthesia for operation. Hoisting the horse by the legs is STANDARD procedure in ALL equine clinics for operation.
Force and inflicting pain have become accepted as 'normal' training. Dr. Jim Heird spoke of "Do Right by the Horse" in a speech to AQHA judges in Dec. When big name trainers use abusive training, their fans decide that cruelty is a good thing. My videos address this problem of the culture in the AQHA.
Yes, CounterCanter!! I agree totally! I have been away from dressage (Classical) for many years and & am now returning; I am appalled by what I am seeing with what is being called "Modern" dressage, Consequently, I am using this man's guidelines to refresh my memory & skills as well as to select the trainer for my new horses. Thanks for posting this video, dmsgmbh ;-)
Yes, you can order it on Amazon or on the homepage of the producers. just google "if horses could speak" and "Tug of war" by same author! Great works and must read for every rider not just dressage.
Yeah maybe too sad. how good is your German? *hihi* But maybe when you're a bit older it might be easier then. But these are really good books/ DVds and they made quite a uproar in Germany.
I have the book version of this video and it should be required reading for anyone training horses....judges should be required to watch/read this and hyperflexion must be removed from competition riding! Oh I pity the horses..indeed if only they could talk!
I bought this DVD and just finished watching it....it is VERY INFORMATIVE! I've been trying to teach people about unnatural and destructive horse training methods and now I have Dr. Heuschmann's expertise to back me up! I just wish there was a DVD out there to address the Western riding world as well!
HORSES CAN TALK BUT IN THERE WAY OF THERE SPEAKING

LDR is a cop out. It IS the same thing no matter what. Try re-training a horse that has had LDR done to them. It's not easy.

that was lousy painting the horse...

Lol, that's so true @Aplinawine and rocky
I love horseback riding as well ... whereas the only equipment I probably will use is a blanket.
Nothing else ... no saddle, no bridle, no nothing.
Anything else I consider as show - on how to hide the failure of understanding a horse and respecting its nature.

that looks cruel, why would you do that to a horse!? it is meant for walking not being hung upside down like a bat!
buddyfriend8 11 months ago
@buddyfriend8 They were going to drain the blood from its body. Its a slaughterhouse. Typical people making money off of cruelty.

Grauselige Erkenntnis! Wer denkt schon über solche Dinge nach. Ich auch nicht umbedingt....!
Weil viele Pferde es einfach mitmachen und nicht meckern. Und die Pferde, die meckern, werden geprügelt. Bis sie das "Maul" halten!!
Gruselige Geschichte.
