To me, it seems like everyone is saying bad stuff about every quadcopter that is out there. Truth is, none are perfect. You also need a good radio and receiver for them and I hear lots of people with complaints of losing signal and such.
I have an xaircraft and in my opinion, works great.
I have DJI WKM, spot on out the box, GPS position hold at 150ft plus, rock steady, attitude mode, fantastic, best thing i ever spent money on, so im happy with my Quad :) Also the DJI Naza performs brilliantly, the XAircraft stuff has had its problems, and XAircrafts GPS and compass problems are just a pain the back side, when they first came out, they simply did not work properly, And XAircraft admitted they had problems.
I feel your pain. I had an issue with the 2-sided adhesive foam used to hold the AHRS-S. It wasn't secure and so I was having similar issued (until if fell clean off & I crashed & burned!) Still haven't had any luck getting the GPS & related functions to work properly... Frustrating indeed!!!

Here is a couple of suggestions:
1.Balance your props
2.Replace the props
3.Swap the motors around to see if the problem moves.
4.Disasemble the and re-assemble the unit and use Loctite glue.
Just my thoughts and you probably done this. Good luck!

A parachute mechanism (as long as it wasn't caused by a DX6 with batteries rattling around)
