  • I HAVE AN IDEA ---> IGNORE WOODY!

  • I'm not ignorant, I would fly missions and return to homeplate and news that didn't agree with what I did that day. The news is propaganda and SHOULD be suppressed. I lost more friends while training for war than in war. More will die today on New England highways than in Iraq, Afganistan and our other clandestine locations combined. Go protest the highway administration.

  • It amazes me how many people attack Cindy Sheehan by saying she is disrespecting her son, Casey. What kind of monsters insult a woman who lost her son?

  • I don't attack her. I'm just saying it's not HER place to speak for me or any other serviceman who freely signed on the dotted line. We all swore to follow the orders of those appointed over us... it's part of being an adult. Support the troops and pray they can finish the job so that we don't have any more planes flying into our buildings.

  • I can't believe this woman continues to disrespect her son.

  • I'd like to know what gives you the right to judge her.

  • Gee, maybe the fact that I served proudly for 20 years under 4 presidents. Her son signed on the dotted line freely and of his own will. I totally agree with her VA comments but it isn't HER place to worry about that. She is not affected as I and my fellow service members are.

  • Wow..and all this time I thought the purpose of the military was to support democracy and free speech, not suppress it. I'm a vet too, I knew that was my job. As a responsible citizen, as a human being, how can you say its not your place to worry about the suffering of others? She was affected, and will be affected. We are all connected, its only our ignorance that makes us think we're not.

  • Show me where it says that the military's purpose is to support democracy and free speech. I never swore an oath to that. I didn't have any rights while I was serving. As a responsible citizen I'm doing my part to support my troops and provide them with the tools to COMPLETE their job not walk away from it. This woman speaks for her son. If it was my mom, I'd disown her.

  • Woody, I don't know what experiences have made you so bitter, but please get some help. Your mother brought you into this world ... good thing she didn't disown you.

  • You didn't take an oath to defend the Constitution? Or you weren't paying attention, what?

  • "I,**, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code)

  • I was paying attenting each of the 6 times I swore that oath. Don't manipulate my words... in the end you will only prove YOUR ignorance.

  • Thank you for your service. However, that doesn't give the the right to judge everyone else.
