oh. That's a realy easy one. Have your horse stand square and ask it to walk but stop it as soon as forward motion starts. Then your horse will put its front foot down and bring the other up. Sometimes you have to actually pick up the other front foot and place it but they get the idea pretty quick. I'll put a video on here if you want to see it done
yes. I started braiding it when she was about 10 months old and try to keep it braided as much as possible. I left it down for about a week, and now she broke a bunch of it off. RRRRR. I'm hoping to get it to her knee but that will take a couple years. She is a "hairy" breed, so that definitely helps.
