YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN! What's the matter with you? Is this what you've become, a Hollywood finocchio who cries like a woman? "Oh, what do I do? What do I do?" What is that nonsense? Ridiculous!
I have an autographed CD from when they played the San Diego Gay Pride Festival... 1984? I was head of security and had to deal with the fundies ("fundamental christians" that were harassing our visitors/attendees)... they were great! Michael Callen died shortly after of AIDS-related illness.... I believe!
I don't like these guys because of the fact that they're gay, I like them because of their style which when it comes down to it has nothing to do with them being gay. Music is music; and if it truly is music then gays, straights, guys, gals, youngers and elders can enjoy it.
I do think they were showing flamboyance a bit overly-much, but they are still one heckuva group!
@memejawd I'm guessing the flamboyance was a bit of self-parody, and I love that in any form. These guys are not only talented, they're adorable as hell. :)
I heard them in the early 90's and would love to find their version of Johnny Angel". if anyone has it please post it so the rest of us can still enjoy it! Thank You if you do!
@colleenalley If you look online, you can still find their last cd release "Live - Out on the Road" for sale. It has Johnny Angel on it. I had the joy and pleasure of being the digital editor/assembler of that release.
But there other brother Michael Myers is my father. There mother Shirly Myers is an amzing woman. Tj and Randys siblings nephews and neices all love and miss you. And Flirtations you guys are amazing. And I hope all of you are doing good.
This video should have a dedication to TJ Myers. And in case you don't know who that is he is one of the origanal members. Along with Jon, Michael, Aurelio, and Cliff. His place was taken when he died of AIDS in the late 80's. I never met him or his brother Randy Myers who also died of AIDS.
im straight, and i have no problem at all wth gays, i agree with ppls choices n accept them.. ok so this song is beautiful.. i love, if u appreciate music, u should love this
I first found this band in their later incarnation with Jon, Jimmy, and Suede, after Michael's death. They're really good, one of my favorite acapella acts.
Movie? Are you referring to Philadelphia? That's the first time I had seen or heard them. Mr. Sandman was also the song they performed. Same popular lineup as they have here, Jon, Jimmy, Cliff , Aurelio and of course Michael Callen.
I think Vito Corleone said it best . . . . .
