I have realized that even though the newer wodden models were redesigned to be more accurate to the show's models, the faces are less close to the show model faces than the classic old wooden toys.

I have the original Oliver (plastic Funnel), White Top Rusty with 1999 box, Edward (Flat magnets, painted coal), James (wood funnel), and The Rickety Troublesome Truck.

My first Thomas trains were Edward, Rusty, and NW Brakevan, and I still have them to this day!!! But most of the paint is washed off :P. (Note that I got them when I was like, 4 or something and I didn't know paint washed away in water until after I took a bath;)
