the gareth emery remix sounds nothing like the original.. :s i listened to Gareths version first.. which is just one of the best trance songs ever... then there is orkideas original version which is just like.... wtf is this?? its so boring and lifeless.. The first track is the intro of my track 'Requiem' - a cover version of Requiem For A Dream theme. It started as a bootleg sampling the original, but the album version features all original elements recreated with string parts provided by Petri "Lowland" Alanko.

sorry, IMO, you absolutely ruined Nightwish's Bye Bye Beautiful. 3 minutes into the remix, I still didnt recognize the song. Just awful. But thats just me, I dont like current techno/dance music, so apparently there IS an audience for your style, just not here (Atlanta, GA, USA).

In Trance (BBB remix is 12min long) 3 minutes is called an intro. In Rock, that's a typical song length. Slight differences :) Melody starts just before 3min. Does it really matter if the song is unrecognisable before that?

Great work! I purchased it immediately after it came out. Especially loved God's Garden with vocals of Ofra Haza, Masochrist, and Requiem. Bye Bye Beautiful is nice remix, though 12 minutes are bit long. And thanks for additional web downloads, Beautiful (Alt+F4) is great track.

Definitely one of the best 2008 trance albums, now I'm waiting for Oceanlab's :)

Indeed, as others have pointed out, it's the main theme in Requiem for a Dream, called Lux Aeterna :) One of the most powerful songs IMO.
